Purchasing Park Tickets for Someone Else

I'm purchasing 1-day tickets for my wife's sister and her family as a gift. For e-mail deliery, it says in addition to the e-mail and ID, the original credit card will need to be shown at the entrance. If I won't be entering the park with her and her family, should I have the tickets mailed to us instead? I was hesitant to have them mailed since it's about 3 weeks out and I'd like for them to be able to make FP selections right away. I'm assuming they can't make FP selections until the tickets are in hand? What's the best way to handle this?

Could you perhaps buy them a visa gift card with which they can buy the tickets themselves? Or if that wouldn't work at the gate, maybe send them a monetary gift through PayPal and then they can use their own charge card..

Based on many reports here regarding this issue, the original CC does not have to be exhibited when picking up tickets.

BTW, if those using the gift tickets will be using MagicBands, the tickets can be linked directly to their MDE account before the trip and no ticket need ever be "picked up."

The "phone CMs" have a terrible record when it comes to knowing anything useful about actual park operations.
While an answer will likely be given, it may or may not have any bearing on the actual situation.

I was thinking more that they have a script for how long the tickets should take to arrive to know if safe to order hard tickets.

You could also go to a Disney Store, if you live near one, and buy hard plastic tickets there.
