Purchasing one time use points

I was out on the member website and was reading about how you can do the one time use points purchase. I am 1 point short of being able to make the ressie I need so was thinking about doing it. But did I read it right that you can only use the points for 7 month? If I have to wait for 7 months, I'll never get the ressie I want.

Yes that particular night that uses that 1 point has to be made at 7 mos. Could you reserve all of the other nights and take a chance on one night at 7 mos? Also a waitlist for one night would more than likely come thru. Of course the best scenario would be to borrow the 1 point if possible. HTH.
