We will be arriving at CBR on Thursday. I was wondering about buying some groceries to keep in the room, price wise is it okay to buy on the property or am I better off taking a taxi off site to Crossroads Shopping Center just off the property?

I don't know which is cheaper. I've done it both ways and prefer to run over to the grocery store. That way, I get exactly what I want (Hostess brand mini-muffin or whatever.) I'm thinking that if you're going to have to pay a cab, it would probably be cheaper to just buy your stuff in the hotel...but I dunno.

I also find that when I buy crap at the hotels, I don't do it all at once. I'll stop and get a couple pops one day...then I have to go again the next day and the day after, etc. When I stop at the grocery store, I make ONE stop and that's it. :)

I know there are other grocery stores around that are cheaper than Gooding's...I just don't want to bother finding them or driving to them. Sooo lazy. :teeth:

Good luck whatever you do!

I would look into ordering from gardengrocer. There is another site - but I have only experienced this one so far. They both get great reviews. Are we allowed to post the sites/:confused3

Winn Dixie is down the street from the Crossroads Shopping Plaza and is considerably cheaper than Goodings. There is also a liqour store in the same plaza if you want any of that type of beverage for your trip. It is probably 1/2 mile when you take a left out of Hotel Plaza Blvd. Depending on what you think you would want you might do just as well at the store at CSR when you factor in a cab. It cost us $10 to go from the front parking lot at EPCOT to the Dolphin so don't know how much it would be from CSR to the nearest store.
