Can I use a Disney gift card to purchase tickets in the Disneyland app?

If not, if I purchase them through a web browser will they still link to the app if it's the same account?

Really love the ease of in-app tickets and have a gift card to burn.

Hi @lctrodgers unfortunately I'm not sure about the answer to your question but I believe that you can. If you can't and you order them from the website you can print them at home and bring that paper with you right to the gate where they'll exchange it for your actual ticket.

I just went through to the purchase screen in the app and it only has an option for a credit card. Disney gift card is not one of the options when you select credit card type. If you buy online I believe they can scan the barcode from your email at the gates. You'll need a paper ticket to get FP at this point anyway.

Yes, if you login to your account when you buy your tickets online, you will be able to use a gift card to purchase and the tickets will also show up in the app. I did this earlier in the year and didn't even realize they would be in the app, so it was a great surprise that they show up in there. The only thing that bothered me was that one ticket was for an adult and one was for a child but I couldn't tell which was which, so I had to double check my confirmation email.

I purchased my tickets on the website and it was there when I logged into my account on the app. I didn't need to do anything special.

Is the gift card more than you would spend on food, souvenirs,etc? If not I'd just buy the passes on the app and use the card in the parks.
