Purchasing based on banking and borrowing?

Hello all wise DisBoard! After renting points for stays, I would like to buy an AKL resale contract and I want to check on purchasing strategy based on our situation. We'd need 341-450 points depending on when spring break actually lands every two years. I know that you can bank all of your points from the previous year, use the current year points, and borrow into the next.
Hypothetically, as an example, my dates are April 6th-11th 2025. For AKL I'll need 350 pts. so my strategy would be to purchase a March use 150 pt. contract that has all of its 2024 points and book on May 6, 2024.
March 1 2024 150 points (bank)
March 1 2025 150 points (use)
March 2026 50 points (borrow)

Of course, I may have to shorten the spring break week or downgrade our accommodations based on the Disney point chart. I don't know if there is some glaring borrowing/banking use flaw I'm not considering. Thank you!

If it’s every other year as your plan (that’s ours) 150 points will be tough if you are going to need 350-360. I figured we needed 325-375 depending where we are gonna stay. So I added on 50 to get us to 200 (400 every other year). I plan to rent the extra points we don’t use.

I'm going to agree with Jayunit09. If it is every two years, you may want to have 200 yearly rather than 150. The one year you go 400 points, you'll have 200 points available on your next trip, well short of your 341- 450. It might be easier to rent the extra points than cutting a day or two (kind of the mental game of "I should have bought more vs now we're cutting a day or two"). Prices are pretty good right now, although 50 more points would be a jump; if you price it right, it isn't as bad as it was 6 - 9 months ago.

You could certainly split those across two contracts (as you might have a really good reason) but also when you get closer to that 200 mark, you might get a better day. Lining up 2 contracts with points needed with the same UY will be harder. Smaller contracts also send to sell faster.
