Purchases in parks?

Just wanted to confirm this...is it true that if you are staying at a Disney resort, that you can have all your purchases sent to your room instead of having to lug them around the parks all day?

You can have them sent to your RESORT where you can pick them up at the gift shop on the next day, or you can have them sent to the front of the park, and you can pick them up on your way out (say on your last day).

We usually pick ours up on our way out. But this is because it's usually DS10's purchases, and some reason he just can't wait to play with his stuff until the next day, if sent to resort.

where do you pick them up at on the way out of the parks?

3 days before we was to leave I bought a t-shirt at AK and I had it shipped to our resort, went to pick it up the next day and it had not been shipped, so they put a search on it and it had not been shipped from AK, and this was the day when the problem started with air travel, so they told me they would have it that night and would leave a message on our phone, but when we got back no message, so I went down and the package pickup place still didn't have it and we had to leave before it opened the next day, and they told me they would ship it to us in England but still have not seen it in the post. The thing I worry if we do get it, do I have to pay VAT on it and what about the sales tax I paid in WDW. I should of asked more ?'s when I was there but with the high alert with air travel my big concern was just getting home.
