This is a huge trip for us so I ordered and received the photopass +, but I am still confused. :scratchin

I have a voucher which I understand I bring to the park to get a card. We give the card to the CM, they take the pics. (I've read to take a pic of the card in case we lose it)

The CD that came in the package has a seal sticker that says no refunds or exchanges once broken, this CD is just stock photos, correct?

Inside it says there is a voucher for Disney Photo CD. Does mean I get all the photos taken in the park on a CD that they mail to me at a later date? I am assuming the $69 I've already paid covers this cost, but I'm not sure.

Can I just print the photos on the CD myself?

We are going a character breakfast; do we get any hard copy pictures with PP+ handed to us on site?

Last question and this is a long shot, but if for some reason there are not many pics taken that we want, can we get a refund if I don't open the seal on the CD I have already received in the mail?

I know it can't be that complicated......I appreciate the help :flower3:

The CD in the case is stock photos.

You get a CD of all the photos taken at the end; it will be mailed to you once yonder it. You will be given a limited release and you can make prints wherever you like, for personal purposes (that's the limited part, that you can't sell them).

You get the hard copy packages at the meals, which is seriously cool. They just give them to you, but you do need to use the actual photopass plus card for that. For ride photos you don't get the hard copy, but they will put it on the card.

My card flew off twice on this trip. Off the lanyard thing they give you. Either transfer it to somewhere else, or ask a guest relations person for some tape, and make the metal part of the lanyard clasp thing more secure. And definitely take a picture of it!

If you are going to Goofy's kitchen before the park can you get the photopass+ card there or do you actually have to enter the park first?

I'm not sure. At first I had read that you could get your card at Goofy's but then DIS'ers were reporting that this wasn't the case. Since our AP's werent blocked I just went into DL on our way to Goofy's Kitchen to get ours.
You can be escorted into DL to the photostore to get your photopass + card if you arent planning on using your tickets that day. Or if you go to Goofy's Kitchen w/o having the photopass+ card I believe if you buy the photopackage you can get a refund if you bring the receipt to the photostore in DL when you go to get your photopass+ card.

This is our case in where we have supper reservations at Goofy's Kitchen the night we arrive. We are not planning on using our passes that night but would like to get our photopass vouchers exchanged prior to supper. So they will escort us in to the photopass shop? Or we can get a refund when we exchange out vouchers? Would be much easier if they just had a place to exchange outside the parks...geesh! :scratchin

I just wanted to add that inside the CD case, in addition to the stock photo CD, is a printed code that you use to order your CD. Once you come home, you can play around with your photos and add borders and such. When you have the photos exactly how you want, you order the CD. I did the download option, so I didn't have a CD mailed to me. I just downloaded all the photos to my computer and am in the process of ordering prints and such from Costco. Just be sure that you don't order the CD until you are completely happy with all your pics. Once you order and use the code, that is it, you can't take it back. And yes, this cost has already been covered.

You do get the photo packages at the character meals and you get those photos in digital form as well. The photo packages are very nice!

I am sorry, I have no idea about a refund. My gut says once you exchange the voucher for the photo pass plus card, there would be no refund, but I am not sure.

The thing I really wanted to make sure you knew is that you don't order the CD until you have all your photos the way you want. I had something like 100 photos to begin with, but added borders to some, cropped some, made some black and white, etc. I ended up with over 300 photos! Have fun with it!

Thought maybe this would be a good place to ask since some of you seem to know a lot... What is the difference between a photo pass and a photo pass +? And where can I find pricing on something like that. I've never seen it online, but maybe I just don't know where to look. TIA! :)

Good to know....thanks for the replies:wave2:

The PP+ includes getting the ride photos scanned onto your card (so you get the digital copies) and also includes the portrait packages at the character meals (you get both the digital copy scanned to your card and the actual pictures). Other than that, I think they're the same, you get any digital pictures you have taken by a PP photographer on the CD either way. When you pre-order, the PP+ is the same price as the regular PP CD ($69.99). If you purchase the PP+ in the park, it's $99.99.

1. There is no escorting into the park. There is a DLR Photopass+ thread somewhere around here.
2. For Goofy's kitchen, they will take your information down and give you a "receipt." Once you go exchange your voucher for the actual + card at the Photopass shop (Main Street in DL or Buena Vista Street in DCA), they will print you up the hard copies of the pictures and save any digital copies onto the card.
3. Unlikely you will get a refund if you don't end up liking the pictures. I think once you've exchanged for the PP+ card, you are out of luck (otherwise, they'd want you to return the original voucher back too).

I am so confused! I've searched the disney photo pass website and I cannot find any photopass plus at all. I did finally locate a photo cd for $169, but I keep seeing the $69.99 on all these threads. Can someone help direct me? I'm looking at Disneyland, not Disneyworld. Any help is greatly appreciated!

It's hidden! I found the link in the other photopass+ page. Here is the link:

Hope that helps!

Yes, those photos are stock photos. The voucher allows you to get the photocd for free (or well, you already paid for it). You just access the photos onine, make sure everything is there, then ask for it to be sent to you-using the code on the voucher as your 'coupon code'.

Yes, you can print the photos yourself, or add them to photobooks you do on your own, etc.

Character meals- if you have the photopass+ card, they will give you the hard copies there and add the electronic copies on your card. If you don't have the pass yet (ie. Goofy's kitchen), they will take a picture of the card, show you the photos, and you will pick up the hard copies when you get your pass inside the parks. I did not need to 'buy' the package at Goofy's. I just went to the photo store the next day, showed them my voucher, told them the time I was there and they gave me the card, plus the folder package with all my Goofy Kitchen photos. We added 4 character meals to our card with all the hard copy photos plus got digital copies of those photos.

As for 'returning' it, I would guess that once you got the photopass plus card your would not be allowed to do a return.

All and all with character meals and ride photos it was very worth it to us. We used it August 10th-18th of this year, and got the CD on September 14th.

Can anyone confirm whether they will escort you into the park to exchange for your PP+ card on a day that you don't enter the parks? I'd really like to do this if it's possible, and I've read a couple times on the boards here that they will do that for you. Just like to hear from someone that has done it, or confirm if it's true or not. Thanks!

I found the CM's not so happy about this at the ride photo's, they did not seem to think it was so great about being able to get the downloads free. I am missing a few ride pictures from Splash and have two pictures that are not mine. On all the ride photo's, they add the ride name to it in the 4x6 size so if you want a 5x7 size or larger then you are cutting something off.

Hmmm...sorry the CMs weren't nice about it. I found the CMs were very nice and two of them remembered me and started looking for my picture before I even got up to their station (Splash and Screamin' where we did baby swap).

I am not sure why they would care either way. The money is not coming out of or going into their pockets directly. And you are not really getting the ride photos free... you are still paying for a WHOLE package from Disney.
