You dont have to stay but I would highly recommend that people should at least have toured the resort and saw the rooms themselves.

That being said if you are going to stay then I would suggest renting points instead of paying cash to Disney for the room.

I have walked thru resorts that I thought i would love and after staying there i would never buy there, but that could work for some
