Purchase ??s for Disney Rewards and PP+

Hi,

I thought I already asked this but cant find the thread so here I go again (sorry)....

1) I have disney rewards and am wondering how far out before I should order - I want to still use my cc for some more major purchases but am worried that I won't get the reward card in time for our trip.

2) If I get the reward card now, can I add those future purchase point to my card?

3) I understand PP+ will mail you a cd with a voucher for your card - how far in advance should I make my purchase?

I leave for my trip on September 20th.

once you have the card its like a re-loadable gift card. so you can put a set amount on it, and then call in later and have more added. there is a minimum, i think its $10, so just make sure when you request it you leave at least that amount in the account so you can add what you earn later.

i actually need to call for my card this week so i can start doing the math on what and when to pay off on my November trip.

My card had expired so I had to get a new one. According to online it's 5-7 days.

Thank you so much for this tip! My DD is possibly going to the cheer nationals this year but we will not know until 3 weeks before (which is killing me because I am a planner!!!!) and we really need to use these $$ to help pay for expenses of an unexpected trip. I also didn't want to waste time on a short trip having to go redeem it somewhere. I am going to order $10 and then wait for rest if it happens. if not, I can spend the $10 for Christmas gifts.

If this is the OP's first time to order a rewards card, the minimum amount is $20. Thereafter, any amount of $10+ can be transferred to the card or placed on a new rewards card.

The cards expire at the end of December in the year following the year in which it was ordered. So, if you were to order it today, the card will expire on Dec. 31, 2014.
