I saw on this board a list of the increases (by year and resort) in the annual dues. That was very helpful, because that was one of my main concerns... that they would go up a lot each year. However, I think from the chart that the increases are very reasonable. My question is this --does anyone know how much the original OKW points were? The DVC DVD mentions something about (since the points stay the same)... "20 years from now wouldn't you like to tell your friends about the great deal you got when locking in your points?" Well, here is your chance. I would love to know what a great deal you received, so that 20 years from now I can do the same .

Oct 1991 prices were $51

From there the prices really went up.

So, it really does seem that over the life of the timeshare, even with the dues... it is REALLY a good deal over the "rack rates" (which are not going to get cheaper over the next 49 years). That makes me very happy. I am just glad the minimum points is no longer 230. That would be a deal breaker for us at this point. Thanks for the info. I think I'll go call my Guide .
