Purchase package or purchase seperately

Hi I am just curious if anyone can tell me the advantages or disadvantages of Purchasing my DL trip as a package or seperate? Just wondering if you get any other perks or anything if you buy a package? Thanks in advance

Some packages have perks. What I do is price the package and price the trip without. For some reason it is always cheaper for me to use AlaskaAirlines vacations packages or AAA. But I do the leg work and compare.

Disney travel "gives" you lugagge tags, lanyards w/ pins, a coupons, and toon town madness. AAA offers the same items.

If you buy from Costco.com you get a character meal and (1) $20 gift card, as well as the disney travel perks. The downside to costco is they limit the length of stay and not all hotels are available.

As for price, you just have to price it out both ways and see what works best for you.

Booking thru disney you can make payments. They require $200 down, and full payment by 30 days before your trip.

If you book online with some one like travelocity/ expedia you'll need to pay it all at the time of booking and will more then likely not be able to cancel or make changes.

If you book direct with the hotels you will more then likely pay at the time of arrival. You''ll just need a credit card to hold the room.

Also remember that when booking directly with the hotel, their "per night" rate does not include tax (15% in OC, I think). However, the packages already have room tax figured in. That can be quite a chunk of money and it can make a package seem more expensive than booking directly.
