We recently stayed at the Beach Club and fell in love with the hotel mattress. Has anyone purchased anything through Disney Resort Collection when they returned from a trip and were you happy with your purchase?

Funny, I was thinking of posting the same thing. We loved the mattress at the GF last year ( love the mattress there!) and are going to the BC in Feb. Our mattress is 11 years old so we need to replace it soon. I do worry about ordering online though and not being able to try it out.

I think that people have said that their pillows are not the same ones as the resorts so I wonder if it is true for the mattress as well?

I ordered two of the pillows and they've been wonderful. Don't know about the mattresses, but they're supposed to be the same.---Kathy

Add me to the pillows list!

My husband knew that I loved the pillows from the AKL that he ordered two. :) I have thought about ordering the mattress, but I'm a little hesitant since you can't try it before you buy. But that's me.

We've ordered the pillows - and for some reason, my dh LOVES their shampoo, so I've ordered MANY bottles. We're very happy with our purchases!

Which pillows did you all order? I believe there are 3 different types, gel, down and the down alternative.

I hated the pillows at OKW this past trip but loved them at POP a few years ago. I had some really great pillows in Pittsburgh last year that I truly considered liberating. I can never seem to find pillows that are both squishy but still have some body to them.

I would think it would be the same exact mattress as the ones at the Beach Club and after sleeping on it for 7 nights it was wonderful.

We've loved the mattresses at BWV and always commented on how much better we slept on them. About two years ago, we bought queen mattresses from the Disney Collection, and it's one of the worst purchases we've made. They are not the same mattresses that are at the resort. We've even taken pictures of the labels and compared them - not the same. And, we spent close to $1,200.

We are DVC members and comment EVERY time we go how comfortable those mattresses are and how they are so not the ones that we have at home. Save your money!! :)

We stayed at Poly 2 years ago and loved the mattress. I copied the numbers on the tag and we tried to order the same mattress through our local furniture store. Turns out it was a special number for Disney. We ordered what the store thought was a similar one...it wasn't. We exchanged it...still weren't happy...but we kept it. Then, during a trip to GF last year we fell in love with the mattress all over again and ordered one from the catalogue. The catalogue mattresses are overpriced, but we got what we want, and we've been sleeping happily for a year. Maybe there's no such thing as overpriced when it comes to a good night's sleep.

I hated the matresses at the beach club because I never wanted to get out of bed. We did not make one rope drop because of those darn matresses. If I had those in my home I would never make it to work on time. :upsidedow

Is there a website to order this stuff at? Or an 800 number? I love the pillows and mattress @ SSR. Would love to start off by ordering the pillows

Call housekeeping at one of the hotels and ask what brand the mattress is. I did this after one stay regarding the pillows and was surprised to see that the pillows were not from the Disney line, but a brand called "Beyond Nature." Now, this was 4 years ago, so maybe they have moved to using only their own brand.

We were just at POP last week. We were in a double bed room first. The beds felt really good. Loved them, but they weren't big enough for us. We are used to a king so we asked to be moved to a king room. They had one open the next day so we took it. The bed was like sleeping on a piece of plywood laid on top of bricks. It was SO hard. We woke up with everything hurting. We also had a king bed like this at Contemporary a couple of years ago. It was a Serta. Sooooo.... if you order a king Serta from Disney and it is like the one that we slept on...it is HARD!!!

At least we paid a lot less for the nights on the one at POP than the one at Contemporary.

The mattresses at Disney deluxe resorts are made by Sealy for hotels only. They are the Encore Plush, the pillow top is offered at the Grand Floridian.

If comparing tags, no they will not be the same as the Disney Collection but they are the closest thing you can get to the ones they have. One is simply made for the public, and one is made for hotels.
