Hello guys, I am just wondering if you can purchase a Fast Pass ticket for a Disney park, similar to the way you can purchase Express Passes for Universal Studios?

I'm not staying in a Disney hotel therefore I will not get privileged with the Fast Pass present lol!

hi , you get fast passes included in your disney tickets, i think what you thinking about is the extra magic hour , they are only for onsite disney guests, but at the moment disney dont charge for fast passes like universal do.

what you do is go to the ride and see if their are fastpasses available , put your tickets into the FP machine and out pops tickets with the time printed on it for you to return to the ride.

Disney fast passes are free to everybody who has a park ticket so PLEASE do not buy one if you see them advertised.

Each ride on the fast pass system has a machine at the entrance that you put your park ticket in and it will spit out a pass giving you a time to come back.

No, you can't buy fast passes at Disney because they are already free to all guests, not just those staying in Disney hotels.:thumbsup2

You simply put your park ticket into the fast pass machine and it will produce a fast pass stating your return time.

thank you for your quick replies, I really appreciate it! I understand that you use your ticket to get a fast pass by the machines at the rides, but I'm thinking more about having a fast pass that you can use all day without having to wait for certain times!?

No such thing at Disney, the only fast pass system is getting a ticket as previous posters have said. They are available for both onsite and offsite guests.

Years ago you had to be staying on site to get fast passes included in your Disney Pass, sometimes you could buy them, however you still had to insert your Disney Pass to get a Fast Pass time. Now I understand that all Disney tickets are useable in the Fast Pass machines.

Wayneneg In 2004 I was lucky enough to be given 8 of these fast passes to be used at anytime on a certain date at Animal Kingdom. They were given to me by a manager on site at character breakfast, however I have never seen them for sale. I used 2 of them and gave the rest away to others queueing for a ride that the fast pass time was over an hour ahead.

:cool1:

you can be given fastpases if you go to a dvc tour they last indefanetly
If a ride brakes down they sometimes hand some out
So as PP they do offer them
But having stayed onsite every year since 96 have never known them to be just for disney hotel guests only. But would be for EMM`s or EME`s hours

there are romoured plans for fp for onsite guests thought linked to which type of resort your staying, allong the lines of
Value 1 FP per person per room per day
Mod 2 FP per person per room per day
Delux 3 FP per person per room per day
This would be accesed from in room via inteactive tv or phone, then picked up at front desk or in the park at guest relations with your KTTW room key
There stil would be FP for everone elce but as onsite guests would acces them before park oppening would make less to go to non onsite guests

Although there are speculative plans in the pipeline for Disney resort guests to receive fastpass privileges, at this time all park guests are treated equally and are required to collect fastpasses in the usual way. There are, AFAIK, just three ways around this:
1. Booking a VIP/personal tour: often your CM tourguide will get fastpasses for you or wait in line on your behalf.
2. Purchasing fastpasses from eBay: it's not allowed, but plenty do it. Many fastpasses (known as "rider re-entry" tickets) do not have a time/date restriction as they are given out as part of DVC promotions or when a ride breaks down.
3. Disabled guests can utilize the guest assistance card which can, depending on the specific needs of the guest, offer fastpass line access.

I don't recall ever having to buy fastpasses for WDW even when they were brand new. :confused3 We weren't always onsite guests either.

Not available at WDW, but I do think that you get FassPass if you stay at Disneyland Paris' main hotel. Not sure you can buy just a perk of hotel, we were given one a few years back whilst q'ing up to buy our tickets - someone just passing on Disney magic - worked for us!!:thumbsup2
