Purchase Disney Dollars/Meal Vouchers as Gift?

My sister and her boyfriend--college students, not much money--are going to Disney in December. I'd like, for Christmas, to give them some Disney Dollars or a meal voucher/gift certificate for a character breakfast. Something they can use while they're there.

Does anyone know if Disney offers pre-paid gift cards, or meal vouchers, or where I can order Disney Dollars from for use in the parks?

I would suggest giving them Disney Dollars, as those can be used most anywhere in the parks. That way, they could choose whether to use them for souveneirs, or for meals, or even to pay for part of their room! You can purchase Disney Dollars at the Disney Store.

Also, the meal vouchers have an expiration date that might create a problem if something came up and they couldn't take their trip as planned. I'd go with the Disney Dollars as well.

Disney Dollars make a great gift! Last x-mas my mom gave me a piece of carry-on luggage- she stuffed $300 in Disney Dollars in all the pockets! -Stephanie

I think Disney Dollars are a good idea and I also think the meal vouchers are as well. If they were to go to Pepper Market or Beaches and Cream that would be a great meal--well valued over $11 and even if they go to places in the parks its still a prepaid meal.

Thank's for all your suggestions. I'm going to go with the Disney Dollars--get different denominations, string them together with a ribbon and some Mickey wrapping paper or do something similar.

DON'T go to your local Disney store and get gift cards.... the only place they are useable in WDW is in DTD. Go with the Disney Dollars...................P

My college DD is also going downto Orlando, only in Jan. over break.

I think disney dollars are the way to go and besides they are so much fun to spend! Spendable just about everywhere. Also can be used on room fee if they are onsite.
