Sorry to say, that I also would not switch seats. I can totally understand that woman's superstittions. I book early so I can choose my seats-I have bad knees so I like an aisle. I guess it's selfish, but I would not switch. Sorry it's the airlines mistake, not my problem.

Hi...sorry to say that I will be using this seat for awhile. My 42 lb. 3 year old is in it and my 12 month old is already 27 lbs. so he'll be in it soon enough. Have you looked at any of the new Britax seats that go past 40 lbs. with a 5 point harness? They look like nice comfy seats. My one complaint about the Futura is there is no padding whatsoever (although my kids have not complained about it). Good luck.

I have 2 Britax Marathons already for my 2 DS, 1.5 yo & 5yo. My 5 yo is 42"/42lb. So he is maxing out at the shoulder harness slot of his current Century Metro. I want to keep him in a 5 point harness since he is a wild one. I need one for the second car. My 1.5 yo is tall is already in the 3rd slot of the Marathon. My 1.5 loves his Marathon. His 2nd car seat is a discontinued Renolux which was touted as top of the line before Britax. The Renolux is comparable to the current Britax Roundabout. I can't put my 1.5 yo in the Century Metro because it does not have enough padding or "conturing" for a lightweight of 22 lb.

So it's either buying a FP Futura for approximately $75 or over $220 for a 3rd Britax.
