Oh yeah, when both of our labs were puppies (one is now deceased) they were up many many many times each night.
It does get better! Every night before bed we let the dog out to potty and he sleeps right on through till around 530 or so. The only thing now that wakes him in the middle of the night is if his tummy is off OR there is coyotes outside making noise.
Also, be thankful he's getting you up! I know of some people whose puppies didn't wake them and they dirtied the crate.
GL! Enjoy this puppy time!

) We got up with him for about a month halfway through the night, but he's about 5.5 months and he's fine for the evening and has been since he's been 4 months old. He's a little Malti-poo, only about 10 pounds now. Anyway, the next night we had him, we put a pair of my sweatpants in the crate and it helped a bit, but he still cried a lot. We signed up for a potty-training class through PetSmart and the trainer gave us the best tip: put a blanket or a towel over his crate. It makes it more "den-like" for the dog. Went home that night, did just that and we never hear a peep from him. We now don't put it on top, and he does just fine. But give it a try, I was amazed at the difference!
