Punta Cana

We're considering Punta Cana - we've seen some good deals for Feb - March. I know someone from the DIS ( maybe Ranatra?) just came back - anyone have any thoughts / comments? Recommendations? We're looking at the Iberostar Dominicana or Iberostar Punta Cana..

DH and I stayed at the Iberostar Bavaro. It's the all-suite hotel of the Iberostar resort. We loved it.
I would stay there again in a heartbeat! We went over to the Domincana and Punta Cana side while we were there and the beach is so much better on the Bavaro side. All of the beaches have a ton of palapas but the ones on the Bavaro side are a little more spread out. The rooms are beautiful (king beds and living room area) and you have access to all of the restaurants in the 3 hotels.

No matter where you stay at the Iberostar, you will not be disappointed. The service is absolutely incredible!

I was just there recently. I got -really- sick, as did my entire family, even though we were all careful to avoid the water, and used bottled water to even brush our teeth.

Just be careful if you're there. Oh - and it really helps to know some basic spanish, even if it's just hello, goodbye, please and thank you.

We just got back last Saturday from Punta Cana! It was the most awesome vacation ever!! We stayed at Sunscape.
We loved our Resort. Here is a link to some of our photos!
The weather was absolutely gorgeous every single day!

DH and I both agreed, we want to go back.

The one thing I'll do different next time is, I'll go out to the coral reef snorkeling more than once during our stay. It was awesome!!
(You might want to take your own snorkels though, we did)

We just returned Tuesday from Iberostar Quetzal in Playacar and would definitely stay at an Iberostar resort again. The hotels and service are wonderful!

Jipsy - my travel agent actually booked through Apple Vacations. We could have gotten a great deal on 7 nights as well, but we chose a 4 night stay instead. Not sure if I can "relax" for so long!!LOL
