Pumpkins and Pirates and Cowboys... Oh my! Our dream Disney TR!

So July was rather insane. We needed to get a reception hall and church for our wedding. One out of two ain't bad. And we have been running around seeing friends and family.

So now we settle down. In time to pay off our Disney trip and prepare for our trip to GenCon, which is about 13 days from now.

I am getting so excited for our trips, but the first trip coming closer means we need to get the last minute things, and one of these last minute things is actually luggage.

Last year, DF's luggage was broken somewhere between Indianapolis and Boston, and because he couldn't prove it was not broken before handing it over, the airline wouldn't accept his claim.... My luggage is old and ripped, and with all our traveling, I could use new stuff too. We also need the usual... Toiletries, etc.

We are also invited to a gaming awards ceremony, where we have to dress up in our best formal wear, so I really need to get a dress!

When we pick up our toiletries, we are going to pick up that stuff for Disney too. Because the end of August and September is going to fly by.

I still need to:

1) Fill out the info for the dietary sheets
2) Call and let them know we are newly engaged
3) Order DF Birthday cake for room
4) Order Photopass
5) Get Photosession at Poly for engagement fotos
6) Get MNSSHP costumes!
7) Make Mousekeeping envelopes
8) Make LGMH
9) Shop

There is still so much to do!

I think the list epidemic is growing from my influence. I am proud! :lmao:

You have got so much going on that you are going to ENJOY disney so much. I forgot about the GenCon trip too! You are one busy lady. We found some decent luggage at Target. Nothing fancy or anything but it's purple. :lmao: DH's is grey. They worked well for the cruise. :thumbsup2

I promised lists a long time ago!!!

Target is on our list of places to look. We also got our BJ's coupons for $10 off luggage so that is on the list too!

That is quite a list! If you have time, I'd love it if you could do a mini TR of Gen Con. I've always been curious about those kinds of conventions! :goodvibes

And to add one more place to your list for luggage searching--I got my set off of eBags.com and have been very happy with it. eBags runs discounts pretty frequently. :thumbsup2

Sure... I am still pretty clueless on how to post photos, but I will be happy to post a mini TR ! :goodvibes

Here is one of last years pics:

Just seeing the pictures makes me more excited to leave.

Will the bags get here within a week and a half if I do it that way?

Instead of inserting the URL link thingy, try to use the picture box on the tool bar (it has the little mountain) and insert your picture web address. Does that make sense? :confused3

It gave me the sad red X. That happens everytime I do that!:sad2:
Hmmm. I upload my pictures to photobucket, which is free and then they have different codes which are internet addresses and that is what I put in the picture box. Does your photo site give your url's for direct photo links?

Yep and I just used that and I got the red X box again!

Ooo, an update!

Wow, you do have a bit to do, but you have plenty of time, hon!

It's exciting planning! I've made a whole bunch of phone calls in the past couple days, so I feel a little more organized.

Yes, LL, making my list did help.:lmao:

I forget how long shipping takes, exactly, but if you ordered right away, I think that might be within their timeframe. I bought my luggage set three years ago, so I'm a little fuzzy on details now. Sorry. :confused3

Check Kohl's for luggage too. They have many different brands in the stores, some online too.

Ahhhh, it is that magical time of year when gamers from all across the globe make that trek to Indianapolis, for what is undoubtedly the largest gaming convention in the world. About 35,000 people went last year (us amung them) and they are expecting more this year.

GenCon is gamer heaven. There are games to try that have not been released yet! (Conan for the PC was awesome last year) and you can buy stuff before it is released to the public.

So that is it. Our trip in a nut shell. Tonight we are having dinner with our friends who just got engaged, and they will be watching over Minniver while we are gone. Then we need to finish packing and make sure we have enough room for our goodies we will be bringing home.

We are flying Airtran, which we are flying in October when we go to Disney World. Has anyone ever flown this?

That sounds like so much fun!! I can't wait to hear all about it.

I am flying AirTran to Orlando as well. I haven't flown them before so I am a little apprehensive. Fear of the unknown I guess.

Hey! Your gaming plans sound like so much fun! My DH would go nuts for something like that.:goodvibes

Your convention sound like a lot of fun! I hope you and DF enjoy yourselves. :goodvibes

I've never flown AirTran myself, so I'm no help there. :confused3

My DH would be in heaven!!!

Have a wonderful time!!!

Thanks! I am really excited.... I am sure they would be... just walking into the shopping room (I would have to say a football field and a half worth of stuff to buy) is heaven! Not to mention seeing good friends that we love hanging out with!

I really can't wait to pick up our just engaged and just married dice as well as personalized dice for the gamers in our wedding party! I will save so much money on shipping this way.
