Rise up this mornin, smiled with the rising sun. Three little birds, pitch by my doorstep, singing sweet songs, of melodies pure and true, singing, this is my message for you ou ou..................

We carved pumpkins for the first time ever this year, but, we carved them too early (about a week and a half ago), and now their all starting to droop and rot. So, let this be a lesson to me, DON'T CARVE YOUR PUMPKINS TOO EARLY, lol

LOL....yeah...my 11 yr old got the "lets carve it NOW" fever last week too....Of coarse, that fever wasnt followed up by the "lets clean this moldy rotten mess off of the steps" fever...I apparently am the only one who is susceptible to that fever.

Rog - two options for ya.....stick an empty wally mart bag under those pumpkins when you first put them out. when they are grosser than gross, just grab the bag handles and that sucker is out of here and you have no moldy pumpking guts on your hands. OR....use a snow shovel!

up here where we freeze our butts off, those cut pumpkins stay fresh a bit longer.
