Good Morning All! I was wondering if any of you pumpers have ever felt a burning sensation where your infusion set is when your insulin goes in?

I got my pump last Thursday and the infusion set was fine. Then I changed it yesterday but now it burns whenever I bolus. I don't notice it as much when my basal goes in since it's so small but the boluses are painful.

Has anyone had problems with this? I thought about changing the site but I wasn't sure if this was something normal that I just need to get used to.

We are on Omnipod but you'd most likely get a quick response on the 'Children with Diabetes' board. But I know it shouldn't be painful.

My daughter has an Animas insulin pump and when she first got hers, she was having the same problem at times. We found out there were different speeds in which the bolus could be given. We slowed it down and she hasn't had any problems since.
