Hiya,

We're planning a trip in the last week Sept or 1st week in Oct. Does anyone know if the pumpkin men with be there then? I had heard a rumour they were being phased out. DS is petrified of them, so if there's a chance they'll be there then we'll go earlier in Sept.

Hope someone can help,

The Halloween season officially starts 4th October and I know the decorations will be up before that so I would say if it is going to ruin the holiday for DS and make him anxious then go in early September :goodvibes

We saw some pumpkin men when we were there last september 16th-20th, they were just getting ready decorations but if your DS is scared by them i would go earlier in September :goodvibes

as the others said go earlier in September - as when we went in September - they were out on our 1st day of 26th sept

OK. Thanks for the info. I definitely need to book for earlier.

If I booked for the 2nd week in Sept instead- ie leaving on the 12th- do you think we'll be OK?

Has anyone seen any pumpkin men earlier than the 12th?

It's a pain coz we miss the 4 nights for the price of 3 deal with the new dates.

Never mind. We'd have a terrible holiday if the 'scary orange men'!!! - DS's words, were there.

The pumpkin men won't be around until the Halloween season starts - you'll be fine in September. :thumbsup2
I do hope you're wrong though and they aren't phasing them out.

The pumpkin men will be about in September, before the official start of Halloween on 4th October, but going 12th September, you should be okay.

All the decorations were up before the official start of the Halloween season last year - the only things we didn't see (going the week before Halloween) were the special shows and parades. Pumpkins, pumpkin men everywhere, the special stage beside Cowboy Cookout, and Witches Academy were all there.

Ohhh this is interesting- my next trip will def be in september- but i'd love to go while halloween season is on- so i guess if we went end of sept we might get the see bits- hummmm

Altho it might be better not to see any halloween stuff and just go another time and have a full halloween experience- maybe go to the halloween party
