I've got it into my head that I want to make pulled pork but I'm finding conflicting recipes on the internet.

So far I've cooked a shoulder of pork in my slow cooker and now have some beautifully tender shredded pork sitting in my fridge.

What now?

Do I carefully simmer it with mustard, honey, molasses etc. for half an hour or do I just heat it through with lashings of Heinz barbecue sauce?

(I'm tempted by the latter but it seems too simple after reading the other recipes.)

weve done it both ways but i prefer just adding my own sauce, costco do the best bbq sauce ...lol.

I've done the beef version & just added bbq sauce after I shredded it. Works fine:thumbsup2

i mean weve made our own bbq sauce and then added it or weve added bottled stuff afterwards...works just as well either way, if the kids are eating we tend to just use bottled stuff if its just us we will spice it up a bit more with homeade bbq sauce, We tend to marianade the pork while cooking it too x

When I've done it in the past, I've used Tesco's BBQ marinade (comes in a plastic squeezy bottle, and found next to the ketchup's etc).

I coat the shredded pork in the marinade, and then stick it in the oven for around 30 minutes. Goes all nice and sticky!

Now you've got me craving some pulled pork :goodvibes
