Pull trigger with Allegiant or wait for Southwest?

We are driving down to Disney, leaving on November 14th, checking in on the 15th. My DBF is flying in on Friday, November 16th <unless we can find a reasonble red eye rate for late thursday night :confused3 >
Right now, Allegiant has a flight on November 16th for $63 into Sanford and I have a quote for a car to pick him up for $100. It puts him arriving at Sanford at 2 pm and probably at Disney around 3 pm, give or take....also, right now, Southwest has a non stop flight on that same friday that would put him arriving at MCO at 11:45 am and he can take Disneys Magical Express to our resort <Coronado Springs> so, basically the two are almost the exact same price...my questions are: should we wait for a SW ding? or is that probably going to be the best rate right before Thanksgiving? About how long will it take him to get to the resort using the Magical Express, we have never done this, as when we ususally fly, we fly into Sanford and get a car company. All advice/suggestions are greatly appreciated! :worship:

Whenever I find a deal I'd be happy with, but, I could possibly get a better deal later, I invariably lose them both by waiting.

I would say if it were relatively the same price, choose the one that would get him there sooner so that he can enjoy more time there. MCO is obviously more convenient. Magical Express time to the resort will vary based on whether he will have to wait for the bus to fill up etc. On a good day, you can assume he should make it to the resort in about an hour after his flight.

I've been watching Southwest for a long time now and they have not put our flights on sale for the past 6 months. They used to be the cheapest airline to fly for us, now they are more than twice the cost of other airlines. If the price of the flight goes down, you can always get a credit on Southwest to use for a later flight.

I'm not sure if you know this about Allegiant -- we didn't until DH flew them for the first time over the summer -- but the price you're seeing may not be the actual price. As he was making his reservation, he realized he had to pay for every piddly thing, including the seat. His "cheap" flight soon became a moderately priced flight, but we stuck with it because of the airports he was flying into and out of.
