Pull out sofa mattress (esp. at SSR)

On a previous thread, I read about how very thin the matteress is on the pull out sofa at SSR. Sounds like the kind that we had at AKV last month. Has anyone ever called housekeeping and been able to get a mattress pad? Not just a cover, but something that would provide extra cushion? I always drive to WDW and would just take one, but December we are flying for the first time (shorter trip) so this won't be a option.

We were able to get a foam eggcrate style pad at VWL, they had (have?) older mattresses though so I'm not sure if the resorts with newer style mattresses have them or not. For the record, it didn't help much!

We were able to get the egg crate type of pad, too. This was a few years ago at BCV.

My DD, who was sleeping on it on the sofabed said that it did make a big difference.
