How are the pull out beds at SSR? We are staying in a studio and my father is 6'5 and needs the bed to himself!! So my mother and I are sharing the pull out couch:rotfl2: Should be interesting! Are they comfortable at all? I figured that since its a DVC resort they SHOULD be comfy for the money paid to be a part of DVC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or if you havnt stayed at SSR how about the beds at other DVC resorts?

Thanks!

My DD & SIL have used the pull out bed at SSR & at VWL. Neither complained about the bed. At the time, the pull out was made-up at SSR, but not at VWL; not sure if that was a norm or not. Most times DW and I never look to see if the pull out is made up.

Have a great time.

Yeah I really hope its going to be ok for my mother and I. We are tough cookies. We have a super late check in so I hope we can get sheets if the bed isn't made up!!

We were in a 2 br in April and my 15 year old son slept on the pull out couch. He said it was not comfortable. This was our first trip to any of the dvc resorts were the pull out was not good.

My 13 year old slept on it in Feb and will do so again in June, he says they are fine. Of course he's 6', 135 pounds.

Good luck!

My DD 15 at the time slept on the SSR sofa bed for a week last March. She liked it well enough that she declined a rotation for a real bed-- I have two DSs, too.

The pull outs at SSR are memory foam beds. They are a little firm but they do not have that awful support bar digging into your back like some other pull out types. I like a firm matress, so I thought it was great!

I also like a firm bed. Im sure ill be fine! I mean heck its Disney, how can one have a bad time

6' 5" and he gets the whole bed to himself? I would put him on the pull-out sofa and you and mom get the real bed! Seriously! My DH is 6'3" and 'large-in-stature', and he doesn't get to play that game! Come on now! However, one thing I did NOT complain about SSR was the beds including the sofabed. :grouphug:

Yeah I wish we could take the bed, my dad is like the jolly green giant. hes just gigantic. Also he has neuropathy and terrible back problems. Aka he would be INCREDIBLY hard to sleep next to, and he wouldnt get any sleep cause the slightest movement wakes him (hes a big princess in the pea:lmao:) SO i guess we will see how it goes, we arrive Sat. Cant wait woo!!

My adult DD was not happy with the sofabed in our 1BR last summer. She called and they brought a couple of "egg crate" foam pads, which helped, but not totally. Maybe we just got a room that didn't have the new foam pull-outs yet. Next time we go, we will be taking a memory foam pad, just in case.

Is a studio available at OKW? There are 2 queens in those villas.

Bobbi:goodvibes

anyone have any pictures of the pullouts at SSR (in the 1br villa)? We;re going in November and DD16 and DD8 will be sharing most likely.. oldest DD is upset about having to sleep on an uncomfortable foldout...

Comfort is such a subjective opinion, it would be impossible to please everyone. The sofas at SSR are all the same and have been since it opened. They have not been replaced with anything different.

They are firm but they as stated at least do not have a horrible bar poking you in the back.

If too firm you can request an egg crate topper for it.
