We are looking at staying at BWV for the first time May 2025 and were wondering about the bed situation. I thought that when the renovation was announced, they were suppose to be adding the pull down beds in replacement of the sofa beds, but the pictures on the Disney website don’t seem to show pull down beds. Can anyone confirm is the 1 bedrooms have the pull down beds or if they still have sofa beds?

This is one of the dumbest things about dvc website, outdated room photos.

Yes when we were there before Easter we had the Murphy in the Pool view.

I do believe some of the rooms could not accommodate them. I believe the one above the preview center remains a couch.

Question for those of you who have slept on the Murphy beds - how are they? I am bringing my parents to WDW for two weeks next summer RIV/BWV split stay. We’ll be in a 2 bedroom at RIV but concerned I won’t be able to get the 2 bedroom at BWV. I know my mom values the washer/dryer so debating if a 1 bedroom could work vs 2 studios (Note: I’d stay in the Murphy bed with my DD).

Welcome any thoughts!

Thanks!

The murphy beds are very comfortable and I would have no problem sleeping on one. I would absolutely refuse to sleep on a pull out bed.

Our party has only complained about it at RIV. Those were the first ones though and we have stayed at many others just after refurbs and there hasn't been any more complaints including BWV that you are trying to switch too.

we recently came back from a studio at RIv. My side of the queen bed was too soft and hurt my back. I preferred sleeping on the Murphy Bed. I like them

The Murphy beds are such an upgrade over the pull out couches. We stayed in a 1BR at BWV recently and the Murphy bed was great

Was searching for this info this weekend. Glad to see this thread. We're staying in a 1 bedroom standard in a few weeks, and wondering if all of the 1 bedrooms had replaced the sofa bed w/ the pull down?? I could've sworn I read some still had the sofa beds instead of the murphy, but hope I was misremembering.

A few of the BW view 1BR seemed to still have sofa beds after refurb, but that was pretty much immediately after they supposedly finished that wing, and they did more work there later. So I’m not sure whether that later work included installing Murphy beds in those few rooms or not. Speculation was there were supply chain issues and they had to wait for additional Murphy beds to arrive.

FWIW I haven’t read a recent report of a sofa bed in a 1BR.

Does anyone know if they were able to install a murphy bed in the 1 bedrooms at BWV that end in X123? With all of the windows I didn't know if it would work.

I doubt it. I just watched Shannon Ford's walk through of that room and there is no solid wall for them to do a murphy bed in the living room.

I was there in August and looked up at those rooms from below. It looks like they left the sofa bed (for those rooms, my teen can deal with it LOL)

Just returned from Disney World with a split stay that included staying in a studio at BWV. We also were there in January and had a refurbished two bedroom. The murphy bed in the two bedroom was fine. However, the murphy bed in the studio we just stayed in had indentations where two people would sleep on the bed so not quite as comfortable. Makes me wonder how well the murphy beds will stand up to significant use since I read above that some have complained about them at Riviera which I think was the first to install them. Still way better then the sofabed.
