How is the Publix lot for parking a long rig?

I'd like to stop there before we get set up in Fort Wilderness. Most of the grocery stores around here, but not all, will acomidate a truck and trailer if you park in the back of the lot. Will I be ok pulling into the lot with my trailer or should I wait to do my shoppng untill I'm unhooked?

Thanks!

The one on 192 near Orange lake always has room in the parking lot.
If you come down 27 to 192 the Walmart on 27 just North of 192 has a huge parking lot.

You should no problem...
My DD did the CP program and lived near there and the lot was huge!!!

While the parking lot may be large enough, I think the issue might be negotiating the traffic and tight roadways within the lot. Depends on how big your rig is and the time of day. 192 can be pretty busy, the lot is tight as far as the driveways, and exiting may be a little issue. Coming off the lot onto the side street, there is no left turn, so you have to make a right and then an immediate u turn to get back to 192. You can go directly to 192, but you have to weave through the lot and the adjacent lot to the shopping center, then make a hard right with a traffic light right after the turn onto 192, as I recall. I always set up camp and just go over with the truck afterwards, but I always try to simplify my life whenever possible, especially on vacation.

WOW - sounds like I should follow your example :) I don't think I'd want to try that type of manuvering.

Thanks!

I think it depends on your level of comfort towing. I have a 2500HD crew cab with a 27ft travel trailer and dont have any trouble.
go with what you are comfortable with, your on vacation and thats not a time for adding stress.
As they say... Hakuna mutata (spelling ?)
