does anyone have the driving directions to the Publix closest to Pop Century? I know there's a lot of them down there, but I heard there was one right near Pop. Knowing the driving directions ahead of time would be great!!!

Well, I can tell you how to get to a couple of different Publix, but I don't know that they are the closest to Pop Century.

Go toward DTD. Keep going until you are facing The Crossroads. Turn left on CR-535. Just keep going straight and you will find yourself on Apopka-Vineland (CR-536). You will have about a ten minute drive. You will find a Publix on the left side of the road just before your reach Conroy-Windermere Rd.

Go toward DTD. Keep going until you are facing The Crossroads. Turn left on CR-535. At the next light (you'll see an Olive Garden on the right), turn left. CR-535 actually turns to the left. Follow CR-535. It will be about a ten minute drive. Along the way, you will pass Disney's Distribution Center, Reams Road and Chase Road. Keep going until you see Summerport. There will be a Publix in the little shopping area.

the one I go to is the one located along 192 across walgreens.. coming out of POP I make a left then another left at the light then stay on till I see 192 toward Kissemme... well thats how I go I dont know the roads but can get there that way... or sometimes I take the road along the gaylord Palms From Publix... instead of going back to 192 by making a left I make a right... then at the light (Gaylord Palms will be at your left) you make a left... then stay on that roa till you see sign for Pop and WWS on your right Sorry bad at name of the roads.

How long are you going to be there this April... I will be checking in on April 19!!

The Publix we've been to a couple of times is the one right by Gaylord Palms. It's not even a five minute drive from Pop. Left out of Pop, left onto Osceola Parkway, past I-4, then you'll see Gaylord Palms. Turn right onto South International Drive just past GP. As soon as you go under a highway (sr 417) get ready to turn left into Publix.

OT but funny. Just past the GP property on S Int'l you'll see cattle grazing within view of GP. Amazing to me in the center of one the busiest tourist areas that you'd see that.

Publix is expensive!!!! Go to the Wal-Mart supercenter on 535

No a lot of the pricing at Publix is the same as Walmart.

Here's my driving directions to the Publix. We use it all the time, no matter where we stay. It's close, it's quick to get in and out of and no WalMart crowds to deal with.

From Pop Century, go out the main entrance. Make a left onto Victory Way (there will be a light at this intersection). Stay in the left lane and at the next light, you will make another left onto Osceola Parkway (the entrance for Wide World of Sports will be across the street). Once on Osceola Parkway, you will leave Disney grounds, then go over I4. There will be a light there. Continue straight. The huge Gaylord Palms will come up on your right (if you miss it, you shouldn't be driving). Be in the right lane and at the light just after the Gaylord Palms, make a right onto International Drive South. Continue straight and be in the left lane. The Publix will be on your left just before you get to Highway 192 (no lights along here - if you get to a light, you've gone a tad bit far).

Be warned that the parking lot at Publix is really weird. They have specific up and down lanes and it's just not user friendly. The store is really never that crowded and going back to Disney World is a breeze.
