Hi,

Arriving via Tiffany next week and was wondering if I would be better suited for snacks and liquor at Publix or Goodings. Any feedback would be greatful. Thanks.

kevin

I love Goodings for the snacks and ready to go items. They are more expensive. Goodings does have a larger wine selection. You can't go wrong with either place.

being that I was born in Lakeland....I would have to say Publix all the way!!

Both are very nice stores though!

Goodings is more convenient, however pricewise Publix is your better bet. Goodings is outrageously expensive....

Thanks everyone, glad to know that both can accomodate our needs.

Safteymom, we will be staying at CBR again and looking forward to it immensely. Your site has provided a vast amount of information over time. Thanks.

In regards to Goodings prices... I've found that it's cheaper to shop at 7-11 than Goodings.

Goodings is outrageously expensive and has subpar quality in many items. Publix all the way.

Goodings is very expensive! Last year DH commented about the prices to the cashier there, she said "Oh, I don't shop here, I shop at ?" can't remember where she said.

i wouldn't do all my shopping at Goodings but I enjoy the deli area. Much better than Publix. It was a little more expensive but liked the selection. I had a store back home that was a little more upscale and shopped there for the different items that the regular store didn't carry. Same with Goodings.

Now that I live here I shop at Wal-Mart, Publix, but I still go to Goodings for some of the "extras."

GOODINGS all the way...they have the best desserts there!!!! I dont think there really thst pricy...

I think Goodings was shockingly expensive.
$4.99 for a box of cereal!
Not only that, after traveling all day, I checked the family into FW and stuck my credit card in my back pocket and off I went to food shop.
After all was rung up, i handed my credit card and was told I needed a drivers license too. I didn't have that on me, just my credit card.
BOY! Was that a hassle!!
So, if you shop there and are using a credit card, TAKE ID!!

I love Goodings! I think the pricing is the same there as the stores in my area so it isn't expensive to me. Goodings has great desserts, gourmet, bakery items, and a deli that we like. I would go to Goodings.

skiwee1, I don't know where you shop in Maryland (I shop in Frederick)--I would never go to whatever store you go to.

PUBLIX all of the way. It's prices are normal, at home prices. It has a great selection of beer and wine too. There is one near the Little Lake Bryan outlets, but we go to the one near maingate, a couple of miles from the AK.

I shop at Giant here in Pasadena. Sometimes Safeway. I pay $4.99 for a box of cereal all the time. Soda is $1.50 for a 2 liter bottle. Frederick is cheaper. My MIL goes to Frederick all the time for the good prices.

I actually perfer windixie. They are down the street from Goodings and have wonderfully cheap prices. They also sell beer and wine. You can go online and fill out there form to get a shopping card for the sales.

I think if you have the trapsnportation you should take a 10 to 15 minute ride to the Wal-Mart in Kissimmee. They are about 40% cheaper than Goodlings.
ADP :D
