We are using wegoshop for grocery delivery and need to choose a store. I thought Publix was the most common choice but we were advised by the company that Albertson's has the best prices. He commented it was similar to our Shop Rite in Jersey. Do you agree?

Also, I would love to hear some feedback on when you ordered with wegoshop. It was suggested to order early however one reason we chose them (over our previously used Garden Grocer) was that we could look at the weekly ad and choose some items based on what was on sale that week. We arrive on a Friday but the ad would not be out until Wednesday. Thanks!!!

I haven't shopped the Albertson's in Orlando, but we used to have one here in my city in Florida and I always thought their prices were high. I'm a Publix shopper.

If you're buying non-perishable goods go for Albertsons. If you're buying fruits, veggies, meats or store made items go for Publix. Granted it's been over 10 years since we've lived in an area with Albertsons, but the stores in FL were not great. They tend to be lower quality stuff.

Thanks for the feedback. We are staying DVC but not looking to cook meals. We need fruit and yogurt for the kids. Some water and adult beverages too. I can pack non-refrigerated snacks in the suitcase.

I vote for Publix. I used WegoShop on our last trip, the shopper was excellent but it was so much effort on my part to place the order I'm going back to GardenGrocer next time.

I always liked Garden Grocer too, but I thought we would try WegoShop due to the gift certificate special they are running. So did you just make a generic list or did you get more specific when you saw the weekly ad? Is that what you mean by too much effort? Any info is helpful :)

I love Publix, across the board wither you're shopping in South Carolina or Florida, you're going to get great quality products, excellent service and exactly what you want.

Albertsons can be hit and miss. Some of their stores are fancy smancy stores and some are just bbllaahhhhh, even within the same region, so you're never going to know what you're going to get.

I also used the gift certificate which is why I gave it a try. I was specific for some items, not so much for others. They have a particular format you have to place the order in and I had to figure out the sizes for packaged items so I knew what to ask for. They do fill up so you can't really wait for the weekly ad to place your order or your risk them being full. Once your order is placed they don't allow more than 2 or 3 items to be changed, added or deleted. I think I requested 6 changes and they canceled my order so I had to type in the grocery list all over again. Not fun. Anyway, like I said the shopper was great and we were happy with the final order but I placed the order to make my life easier and it took a lot more time and effort than an online order should take imo.

Also the resort gift shops seem to have a lot food and drinks for sale now. When you add in the shopping fee plus required tip or gardengrocer inflated prices you may not be saving as much as you would expect.

Very helpful, thanks! I never thought about specifying the sizes of items. This will take longer than I planned. We arrive next Friday. I found a site that publishes a Publix ad on Monday so I guess I'll place my order then since the cancellation you went through does NOT sound fun! I'm so late placing the order now anyway that another few days shouldn't matter... hopefully!

With WeGoShop, we knew what types of items we wanted to get, so we went to the store with a pad and pen and wrote down:
ITEM
SIZE
BRAND
for everything we wanted. When the list was sent, we told them to go to WalMart, Super Target, or Publix (their choice). In the 3 times we used them, it was never a hassle, always got what we wanted, and Amy (with WeGoShop) was always super professional and easy to work with.

Most trips, we get breakfast foods, snacks, water, soda, milk, yogurt to have in the room. Not too complicated, but also was very easy to do.
