public transport to international drive

hello, can anyone tell me the best way to get from our Disney resort (port Orleans) to international drive? hotel staff said only way was to get taxi but I'm hoping there's a cheaper option! thanx

It is very easy - take Lynx bus #50 (leaves from Ticket and Transportation Center, or Dowtown Disney Westside stops or nearer to Hilton DTD) to Seaworld get off and catch the #8 - the #8 goes along International drive both directions all the way south to the outlets and north to the outlets. The fare is $2 and transfers are free. It will take some time but I found it very easy. Buses run every 30 minutes generally with the #8 going a bit more frequently as there are 2 routes (one will go a bit on Westwood blvd and the other stays on International Dr south) - just make sure if your destination is within that part that you are on the right bus.

We used the Lynx bus system while we were there this year and if you are used to using your own city transit system you will have no problem at all getting around. We got directions to the Disney Outlets from a very nice old lady who was a cast member at downtown Disney. For a total coat of $8 we had a great time exploring.

Also one other tip I have is to use the google transit trip planner in google maps. We use it all the time in the city we live in and it tells us exactly what buses to use and where to transfer. Perhaps even print these out before you leave home.

agree - they don't. More money for Disney the longer you stay on Disney property.

the nice relationship that Disneyland has with Seaworld and US - does not exist in Disney world.

Once you get to the Sea World/Vineland outlets are you can also grab the I Ride Trolleys up and down I Drive.
