Just wanted to remind everyone to check their tires before you make your holiday trek.
I saw alot of cars today with low tire pressure and that can lead to an accident.

:drive: BE SAFE EVERYONE! :grouphug:

I just got 4 new tires today! I had a flat yesterday. And so did the 12 other people in STS. The cold reduces your tire pressure and it's easy to run over something too. (mine was a nail??? where did that come from?)

But YES check your tires!

I bought a new car this past summer that gives a low pressure warning. On really cold days it can take 15 minutes for the air in the tire to heat up and bring the pressure back to normal.

Exactly. It doesn't have anything to do with the amount of air in your tires in the winter...it's the temp outside and the temp of your tires.

DO NOT FILL YOUR TIRES WHEN THEY ARE COLD!!

OK, I seriously thought you were supposed to have less air in your tires when there is snow on the road?

Thanks for this reminder! I really do need to add air to my tires.
