Puberty and the birds and the bees??

I found a great book for my dd called "The Care and Keeping of You" that goes through body changes when puberty hits. Does anyone know of a similar book for boys?
Also, my dd will be getting "The Talk" at school next spring and since the above book worked out so well I'm wondering if there is a similar book about reproduction and such.

Good question. I've been looking for a good one for boys too.

My ped. asked my DS 10 if he knew about the birds and the bees. He gave her a puzzled look and then they both looked at me. I said, "she wants to know if you know about sex?" He said, "oh, yes!" I've always been straight forward with my children. I thought this was hilarious. He had no clue what she meant by the birds and the bees.

I did "The Care and Keeping of You" with DD, now 10, last summer. It went well, and I think she actually went to her room and read through all the question/answer bits on her own later. She's entering 5th Grade now and will also see "the video"...
I haven't gotten into anything beyond her own body changes with her yet - I wish American Girl had a book about the rest of the story!

I have heard friends complain about the lack of good books for boys - they too, are trying to prepare for the video! Gosh, if her pediatrician asked her if she knew about the "birds and the bees" she'd probably take him literally! I guess I'd better get busy...sigh...

Did a search on www.amazon.com and found What's happening to my body? Book for boys, A growing up guide for parents and sons.

Also its recommended if buying the care and keeping of you for girls that you purchase the period book.
