So here we are I’ve started planning out trip in Jan 2014, well to be honest I started a while ago but my family are starting to get bored of me talking Florida morning, evening and night.

Now this is a trip of a life time for many reasons but mainly down to cost, we live some 8000 miles away from Florida so the cost to do this is verrrrrrry expensive (approx £7500 in flights alone).

So this isn’t just a trip to Disney we are going to do a split, some time in Disney at the start then we will move to International drive for the rest of it.
So I have to be honest I have no idea if I will keep this trip report up but will give it a go, and below is the index to the posts I hope to make.

• The cast or which penguins are going
• Websites and Forum posts/topic that have helped me(us) or the treasures of a pirate/scavenger
• When to go or how hot can we handle
• How to get there or where do we get the big flying tube to point to
• Where to stay
• Itinerary 1st pass.

And the rest will develop as the plan goes on but will include Food or bust, must dos and We’ve booked or I’ve got a hole in my bank account.
Hope you enjoy, please note this is a plan which can change especially if you give some really good feedback that might help us. But just enjoy my ramblings which won’t be often as I get distra……. I wonder what the standby time is on space mountain, better check the app.

King penguin – Jason, male 40+ and author of this report. Has been to Orlando once for a conference a few years ago and managed to visit Universal (for one day), was under strict instructions not to visit Disney which I obeyed as the conference took more time up that I had expected. Loves fast exciting roller coasters and is hyped up about our trip.

Queen penguin – Alison wife to author and the sensible one. Doesn’t do heat or fast rides. Is slowing coming round to the fact that a holiday will be planned and is happy to leave the king penguin to do or the reading even though it might annoy her when he mentions cor I think we might want o eat there, and not say anymore than that.

Gentoo penguin – Craig, son of author. Very intelligent guy (obviously gets it from his mother) very warped sense of humour (so I know he’s mine) will be 12 when we travel but not keen on scary fast rides.

Rockhopper penguin – Kirsty. Daughter. Very artistic (not sure where she is getting that from) very practical and love roller coasters and anything scary (so I know that she’s mine). She will be 10 but does tire quicker that the Gentoo.
