Trip Report PTR.......Only 2 weeks & 4 days to go!!!

With just a little time left to our much anticipated trip I better get going on a PTR!!!

Who : Me ......this trip is to celebrate my big birthday

DD - 14 - still loving DLRP and happy to come along to help me celebrate!!

DH - not a disney fan will spend most of the time in Paris lol

When : June 10 to 14

Where : HNY - my favorite hotel .......as it's a special birthday - Empire State Club!!!!

We usually go in January or February and so cannot imagine what it is going to be like minus snow jackets, scarves, gloves etc......it may even be warm....OMG how will I cope

Have already made my dinner reservations - Walt's my all time number one, Blue lagoon - 2nd Favorite, Inventions - guess what yep my 3rd favorite!!!! We are planning (dh is!!!) a day in Paris _ can you imagine the scene as I am dragged kicking and screaming to the train - will have done extra magic hours before hand so maybe won't be too bad! and we are going to have dinner in Paris that night

The main park is open until 11pm with extra magic hours each day so will be like a zombie at the end of this trip.......but I will finally get to see Dreams have heard so much about this that I am beyond excitement to see it!!!

Am taking a private shuttle with Ezy shuttle to and from CDG - first time so looking forward to that!

Only downer is that big thunder mountain will be closed during our visit.....how unlucky am I - this will be our 4th trip where it is closed!!!! at least we now have crush and rc racer

Will write a trip report with hopefully lots and lots of photos when I get back - thanks you guys for all the helpful tips and advice over the years!

PS - do you think I should email DLRP to tell them it is a big birthday celebration.....can do when it is someone else's birthday but shy about doing it for myself....mental!!! - there is no way DH would email!

Your trip sound great - Empire State Room is my dream, could really do with this for July - I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time.

We did a Paris trip one year, and found because the park was open late, we didn't really feel we'd missed out on park time.

And, I would definitely email DLP to mention your birthday - I did that for Abbey last year at HNY and we got some lovely pixie dust - I didn't outright ask for anything just said how excited we were and really looking forward to a wonderful time.

Thanks Ms Poppins! It's only *** it's a big birthday treat that I am going Empire State.......but so looking forward to it

Might just ring the hotel about 5 days before I travel just to let them know it is my birthday - DLRP have been so good with pixie dust in the past for both my girls birthdays! I probably sound daft but would love a birthday balloon in my room just to acknowledge my special day! lol

With Parks open late and EMH each day I should enjoy a trip into Paris - I do feel a bit of a philistine as have been going to DLRP since 2004 and have never been to Paris proper....oh the shame

So looking forward to my trip - yours should be magical too in Summer time too!

Oh, your trip sounds wonderful! Hope you have a great birthday smothered in pixie dust.

We'll be there the same time as you (for a few days anyway)...perhaps we'll cross paths...

I've never even looked into the Empire State rooms...what makes the special? We've only ever strolled thru HNY and met a few characters...seems very nice!

We've also only ever been in the cold, so excited to not have layers of coats and hats...I've already begun packing!!

Really approve of your restaurant choices ! I'm hoping walts and blue lagoon feature in my friends choices for september and i wouldn't say no to inventions either!!!!!

I've never even looked into the Empire State rooms...what makes the special? We've only ever strolled thru HNY and met a few characters...seems very nice!

We've also only ever been in the cold, so excited to not have layers of coats and hats...I've already begun packing!!

The rooms are the same but you have a dedicated check in area, a private lounge for braekfast - which is small and intimate and has characters that join you at breakfast time - great interaction! Also the lounge stays open throughout the day serving hot and cold beverages free of charge and there is afternoon tea from 4 - 6. You get robes and slippers and turn down service with chocolate coins....oh and VIP fastpasses

I have never been outside of jan or Feb so usually freezing (but dry) so won't know what to do with heat! I am sure I will manage though

We may well bump into each other must have a look at your previous trippies so I can recognse you

You will love DLH - stayed there 3 times when my girls were little and loved to think they were princesses! Now it's HNY all the way

Aw thanks......I really wanted to do this for my birthday (it's my favorite place!!!!). As it's a big treat I chose all my favorite restaurants too!

Sounds like you have the best trip planned, great restaurant choices and I am so envious of your ESC room! Would love to see loads of pics when you get back
Are you all set?
I would send an email just saying how excited you are about celebrating your 21st birthday at DLP (for the record Ive been 25 for a couple of years now and Im getting away with it )
