Yeah, I don't think you can downgrade park hoppers from what I have read. Oh well...at least we have that flexibility if we needed it.
Also from last year, here are some pics from Poly. Check-in was interesting at Poly. At the time, guest room renovations were still happening and the first room we were put in was not renovated. I can't put in words the disappointment I felt seeing the dark and dated room. Eventually, DH encouraged me to go to the front desk and talk to them about it. The CM was able to switch me to renovated room (yay!).

Haven't posted an update in awhile. I have just been lurking in the SWW planning thread. Wow that thread is a monster but such good info.
Since my last update, I booked the FTF deluxe package and reworked my fast passes for that day (Sunday). The selling point for me was being able to walk behind the parade to get close up for the opening show (good pics!) and express access to Darth Mall. I will likely not get to see the shows but my husband will. It is totally a splurge, since I already know I wont get to use all the benefits with a little one.
Since my last update, I booked the FTF deluxe package and reworked my fast passes for that day (Sunday). Here are the latest plans for Friday:
Arrive @ resort by 10am (fingers crossed for on time flight arrival). We are renting a car and its Memorial Day weekend, so I am bit worried about traffic (eek!). If room is ready, drop off luggage, otherwise hit MK! Not sure whether we will drive or take the bus to MK. One benefit to taking the bus over is that we might park hop after dinner and it would be quicker not to have to worry about moving the car.
So our first park will be MK and our first mission is to find Pluto. Seriously, every time I ask my little guy who he wants to see at Disney World, it's PLUTO!
I believe Pluto meets in Town Square, so we will look for him as soon as we arrive. I bought DS this cute birthday t-shirt with Pluto on it, so I am hoping to get a pic of him and Pluto.
Fingers crossed that it wont be too hot. Not ideal to hit the parks up at mid-day but I don't want to miss valuable park time.
Our MK fast passes:
Meet Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater - 1:20 PM - 2:20 PM
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad® - 2:20 PM - 3:20 PM
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train - 3:25 PM - 4:25 PM
I don't have any goals of hitting any other rides besides what we have fast passes for. I want to say hi to the Big Cheese, takes some pics in front of the castle and ride 7DMT for the first time! We also need to ride the WDW railroad at some point. My boy loves trains!
One thing that I want to do at MK is get pictures with Minnie at Storybook Circus. I have pics with DS and Minnie at this location from last year and the year before and I think it would be cool to get a pic this year too (pic at age almost 3, 4, and 5). I think the line might be long by the time we get there though.
If we get to the park earlier, we will likely hit up some of the less popular rides (but favorites of my kiddo) like the carousel and tea cups or hit up the WDW railroad.
For dinner I have an ADR at Kona (actually two right now). One ADR is for 5:20pm and the other is 6:50pm. I will drop one soon but right now just cant decide whether I want to keep the earlier one to leave the option open to park hop over to DHS for SWW and fireworks or if we should more time in MK. I am pretty sure we are going to be tired that day with an early flight.

I haven't posted an update in awhile. Took a mini vacation to Hilton Head last week. It was very nice and relaxing. Didn't stay at the Disney resort, but that is on my list for future vacations.
Since the last update, we received our magic bands (yes!) and I have ordered more Star Wars "stuff" from the Disney store. I have more t-shirts than SWW days now and some other goodies. I also updated my Friday night dining plans (chose earlier Kona ADR and cancelled the other) and decided not to book the latest SWW dining experience (Rebel Hanger). I just don't have any more time in the schedule. 3.5 days is not nearly enough time!
Since the last update, we received our magic bands (yes!) and I have ordered more Star Wars "stuff" from the Disney store. I have more t-shirts than SWW days now and some other goodies. Starting to pack tonight! I have purchased so much in anticipation of this trip and now I am trying to make sure I find everything. I can't find my kiddo's embroidered mouse ears, but I am sure we will make do. I also have a ton of birthday goodies for him. Trying to get everything in carry-on suitcases is going to be interesting!
I haven't tried to rework any plans. At this point, ADRs and fast passes are set and I am just going to go with it! We will have a pretty early flight out next Friday morning and then off to Magic Kingdom to look for Pluto.
My son has some speech delays. We were practicing today what he would say when he met Pluto. It was super cute.
