PTR May 2009 for our 3rd Anniversary. We're home and want to go back! :(

Awe...I hope you get better and no one else gets it. We all got the weird virus here a few weeks ago. I hope its over. Time to warm up and get some fresh air in our lungs. Try some chicken noodle soup and take it easy!!!

Feel better!!

Congrats on the 100% on the paper! Only a couple of weeks left!:thumbsup2

I hope you feel better soon. It is hard to have fun planning a Disney trip when you feel bad. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HERE IS SOME pixiedust: to make you feel better. Oh yeah:cheer2:on the paper. BTW, Amanda told me I must have been dreaming about the site to check grammar. She said there are sites to check spelling but not grammar sorrrrrrrrrrry.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the get well wishes. I'm much better now. I have terrible heartburn that's making me not want to eat. On a good note, I've lost some weight. I don't know how much because my scales battery died. Also, I kicked my diet coke/caffeine habit this weekend. There was no way for me to keep down diet coke so I got one bad withdraw headache and now I'm fine. All I've been able to drink is water. Fine with me!

Now I need some help deciding about the trip. We are going to visit Nan, Brad's grandmother who lives in st. cloud, while we are down there. I love love love her. We totally connected right from the start and just have a special bond. I'm super excited to see her. However, I don't want to visit in the middle of the week or the day we leave. I plan on going on our faves rides on the day we leave. My only choice is to go visit when we arrive but we have 1 pm ADRs for San Angel Inn and she likes to take us to eat when we visit so it would have to be a short visit after checking in or cancel our ADR. San Angel is closed the rest of the week. But Brad had a great idea(Choice #2). So here's my choices.

Choice #1 Leave at 3 am on May 9. Arrive around 9 am. Check in and give them our bags at AKL. Go visit Nan. Either make it a short visit to make it to our 1 pm ADR or cancel the ADR and go to lunch with her. Go to the parks after Tyson's nap around 3. Pros: Tyson will sleep most of the way. Cons: We will be very tired, less time with Nan, may have to cancel San Angel, less time at MK.

Choice #2 Leave at lunch on Friday after my brothers graduation. arrive at Nan's house around 7 or 8 pm. Stay at her house overnight. Get up and go to breakfast with her. Leave and check in around 11. Go to Epcot for our 1 pm ADR. Pros: We will be rested and ready to spend the first day at disney, more time at MK and with Nan, get to go to San Angel. Cons: We will be leaving Friday right when Tyson starts getting cranky (but I always give him benadryl b/c he gets carsick), Stop more often b/c of tyson.

What should I do?

I would go with choice number 2. Included everything you want to do. Hopefully Tyson will not be to cranky.

I would do #2 too! You get to do everything you already have planned and I'm sure Nan would love to have some extra time with you guys!

Glad you are feeling better!!;)

I would go with option 2. More time with Nan, more time for the parks, and you keep your ADR.

Option 2. Maybe Tyson will sleep all the way?

Can you believe how soon it will be here!!!

I wanted to eat at San Angel Inn, but they said it was closing?

Ok, ya'll convinced me. LOL I really do think that choice #2 is the best way since we still want to spend time with Nan too. Maybe Tyson will at least sleep until we get to the Florida welcome center. Brad is going to ask Nan tomorrow. Hopefully she won't mind us spending the night. I think she'll be happy.

Amber, Yes San Angel is closing on May 10. The last day it is open is May 9, our arrival day. That's why I chose it for lunch. However, Brad is thinking we might not eat there because there is no nachos and the meals are expensive. We will pay OOP for it. My ADR is at 1:30 on May 9. If I cancel it do you want it? It's just for 3 but you'll be sat at a four person table anyway so it won't matter for you to have 4 people.

Choice #2 sounds wonderful and I think Nan would love the company to have you all!

Hey everybody! Thanks for giving me feedback. I'm definitely going to ask Nan if we can stay Thursday May 8. Brad's going to call her soon.

I have decided on a rough outline of what we are doing each day. I've decided to use an unofficial guide touring plan because of the big crowds prediction. I've never done that before but I think it's smart to at least go with a plan. Here's the outline for the week.

Go to room if it's ready. Settle in then each lunch at Mara.

Leave around 6 pm to go home.

Tyson will sleep in his stroller so depending on his mood, we may not go all the way back to AKL unless we are in AK. For Tyson it's better to just let him sleep in the stroller because waking him up to take him on the buses will just tick him off. I'll end up with an over tired child that won't go back to sleep. LOL He did this fine last year. We'll see about this year. I may be changing my tune after a couple days. Also, he stays up everyday until 11 or 12 and usually wakes up around 9. I plan on getting up early and getting ready and letting them sleep. Once I'm done, Brad can get ready and I'll sit with Tyson if he's not awake. I want to be at most parks a little after rope drop. We normally never make rope drop even when it's crowded and we should. LOL

What do ya'll think?

The plan looks great! I expect Emily to do some napping in the stroller too! The key is, as you know, be flexible!

I checked the WDW website for the days I will be there 7-17th to see if there were rooms available and Pop was the only resort sold out. That doesn't surprise me though, it's always the first resort to fill up! All of the other resorts had rooms available in all of the categories. Hopefully, that means the crowds won't be too bad. I've been reading that this week has been AWFUL!

Subscribing cuz I'm at work but I wanna come back, we'll be at WDW the same time as you! (10th-17th for us!)

Hopefully it wont be bad. i'm praying for moderate crowds. I know there will be more than normal but hopefully not 8s and 9s like UG says.

I have no clue how this happened but I looked at the details of MK on the 10th on disneyworld.com earlier today and it said until 1 am. Brad saw it too. Now I look it up and its back to 12 am. OK I know why. I think I clicked May 3 which is also a sunday and emh is until 1 am. duh!!

yeah we'll see ya'll a lot! I'm trying to follow UG suggestions and then go to evening EMHs.

I couldn't remember if the meet was at 12 or 12:30. I knew if I was wrong one of ya'll would tell me. LOL:laughing:

HI! :welcome:

Yay! Another May family! Where are you staying? We'll be at AKL. I look forward to chatting with you.:goodvibes

Wow! My signature looks so much better now that the tag says 29!

:stitch:We're finally in the 20s!!!!!!!!!!:goofy:

Time is flying by!

I forgot to mention i canceled San Angel and added Boma breakfast.

Wow...I hope the crowds aren't bad. I am use to long lines at Disneyland, though. I had a hard time making dining reservations, but maybe I just anted popular places. Hope you have a great Easter.

When did you make ADRs? I didn't have any trouble and I got ADRs at Le Cellier, Chef Mickey, Boma, and the new Sanaa without problems. That's so weird. Well, maybe it's because I wanted earlier dinners. Did you schedule yours around 7 or 8? I hope your moving goes well this weekend and Monday. Congrats on quitting your job and deciding to start a daycare. That's awesome. I hope you have a great Easter too. Brad has to work and we are going out of town an hour and a half away to see my extended family with my grandmother so Brad and I will be separate this Easter. :sad2: I hate companies that make you work on major holidays!

Bummer about Brad having to work on Easter. What's up with that!?!:confused3

I didn't have any trouble with my ADR's either! When I called at 90 days I was able to get all of the ADR's I wanted and the times I wanted. All of our dinner ADR's are between 6 & 7:30pm, so prime dinner time. I was even able to get into CRT for b-fast 76 days out and I called last week and got into Crystal Palace for an 8:10am ADR. I'm not worried about the crowds. I think it may be a little busier than usual, but not enough to ruin my vacation!:thumbsup2

It's getting sooooo close...I can't wait!
