So I talked to Brad again today about staying at Nan's. We decided against it because we will actually get to check in later by staying with her, which means less of a possibility that I get the requests I want, which are a king bed, a room with an arusha savanna view, no roll in shower, and the third or fourth floor. That's the order of importance too. I am thinking of bringing the baby tub again this year just in case we have to be in a room with a roll in shower. Tyson can take a shower but we would end up getting soaked too so one of us would have to take the shower with him. Last year we brought the tub knowing this would happen. He might be way to big for it now. I'll have to check. The floor isn't extremely important but I'd like to be high enough to view the whole savanna.
If we spend the night, there is no way we would be at breakfast at 9. So we would probably be at breakfast by 10 and then be at AKL by 11 or 12 to check in. I would have to repack my stuff after getting ready and also repack the car because we have to remove everything when we got there the night before. I don't want the car broken into. We actually would spend about the same amount of time with Nan each way because we'll go to sleep when we get there.
So here's the new plan...until I change it again.....no I'm not changing LOL this has to be the way we do it.
Brad wants to leave at 2 am. He needs to be in bed by 7 to get enough sleep. I'm going to keep Tyson busy until he's ready to go to bed. I'll already have the luggage packed and we'll put everything in the car that night. Once Tyson is asleep, which will be between 10 and 12, I'll either lay down for an hour or just go ahead and get ready. Brad will probably take a shower when he gets up so I'll wake him up around 1:20 and just stay with Tyson. Tyson is getting a bath before he goes to bed. I'm getting PJs that are fine for him to wear in the car. That way I can just change his diaper and go. LOL We'll wake him up last minute. We will try our best to not make any stops until sunrise. It's dangerous stopping anywhere that late at night. We feel that it might be safe enough to go to the bathroom at the FL welcome center. It'll probably be 5 or 6 am when we reach it. I think I can make it 3 hours. LOL We will get to AKL around 8 or 9. After checking in, we'll either go to our room if it's ready or give them our bags and go have breakfast with Nan. If our room is ready, we'll bring everything up then go see Nan. Whenever we get back we will go to Epcot if Tyson doesn't take a nap. If he is tired, we'll go after he wakes up. I'll probably take a nap too. Then we'll go to CM that night.
I know that it sounds like I'll be exhausted but I'll be fine. Last year, I stayed up all night, we got to WDW around 6, ate and then went to MK EMH until almost 2. We slept late the next day and I was fine. This time we have a 7:40 ADR at Boma for breakfast the next day. But if we got to bed around 9 on May 9 I think we will be fine. There's no EMH to go to and all the parks will be closed after we finish dinner at CM. I'll have to get up around 6:20 to be at Boma by 7:40. So that's about 9 hours if we are asleep by 9:30.
What do ya'll think?
