Well, all my friends and co-workers are sick of hearing about my upcoming Disney trip, so I've decided to take my stories to people who will appreciate them :)

How it started:
I do adjunct work at the local university - one lab a week for two hours. This is enough to fund a yearly (or at least every 18 months) disney vacation for two. (No kids for us yet!)

I had been messing around with vacation dates and such and didn't think DH was at all interested. He went for the first time (ever!) last January and didn't "feel the magic" - or so I thought.

There was a bit of a time crunch during our 1st Wedding Anniversary - the whole month of July, actually. I was sad and DH was sad because we hadn't gotten to go to dinner or see a movie or do anything remotely to celebrate. DH then suggested "Why don't we make dinner reservations at Cinderella's Castle for a special dinner? Will January work?"

(see why I married him?!)

So off I went - what was I going to do? I only had FIVE months to plan!! The first thing I did was call for a ressie at the CRT - THEN I bought the tickets! We're going for 8 days with park hoppers, but no water parks (72 is warm, but not THAT warm!) and are staying at POP Century.

Here is a photo of me (Amber) and DH (Josh) - both 23 this past summer!

Thanks for reading!

Tomorrow:
Vacation shirt DISigns!

Hi!

Wow! You are leaving soon!

My DH and I will be going for our anniversary/honeymoon in June, and the other day I nearly fell on the floor in shock when he said, "We have to eat in the castle!" I hadn't thought he would be even remotely interested in that.

You two look so cute together!

I LOVE making iron on t-shirts (they're so much less expensive than buying in the parks!) but I do have a few shirts I've bought/gotten in the past that come with me on every trip.

DH is willing to go along with the "matching shirts" thing, but I do my best not to put anything too girly or corny on there - he is taking me to Disney World, after all :)

We are going for 8 days and have a different t-shirt for each day.

We got the following shirts at the Disney Store:
Tikis (DH bought me these as a surprise!)

Stitch (For MK day)

Wall-E (DH picked these out, too)

The next set of shirts were purchased at Tattoine Traders:

And the last 4 shirts I made from clipart and my own DISigns:
Incredibles:

1st Anniversary shirts:

"Park Logo" mickey heads (his is Epcot, mine is MK):

And my latest creation - the "Lanyard" shirts. We can't wear our pins to the airport, so we weare them ironed on a shirt instead! His shows his favorite of the Wall-E pins, and mine shows my "grail" pins that I look for every trip:

I can't decide if the lanyard shirts or the park logo mickey heads are my favorite - I'm proud of both! Aside from these shirts, we're both taking 2 pairs of jeans and 2 pairs of shorts apiece, along with a jacket.

Tomorrow: Dinner plans!

Great start! I just found your PTR thanks to our PhotoPass share. We have something in common. My DH and I are going for our anniversary also. Your shirts look great. I always make shirts for us to wear also. Can't wait to hear more about your trip.

So EXACTLY 2 weeks from today, I will be eating at the Castle. Excitement!!!

The only ressies we have are:

Tempan Edo (Japan) - the 17th
CRT - the 20th

In January, most of the restaurants are walk-in, even the nice Table Service ones. Josh is partial to Epcot, food wise, probably because of the selection.

He wanted to go to the '50's Prime Time Cafe, but I think I would probably get annoyed by someone telling me to eat my green beans on my vacation. I know it's part of the experience, but that's not a particular "experience" I want to have, I guess.:confused3

I'd like to eat at Coral Reef (the ONLY place I eat fish is WDW!) and at Canada (my favorite, and a vacation must-do every trip).

So that takes care of 4 TS meals... suggestions for the rest? We have 8 :woohoo:
