I thought I had read something about the California Grill closing for a refurb, so just checked. Unfortunately they'll be closed 1/6 through summer 2013.

No wonder there were no reservations available! Maybe we'll have to go to V&A's!

Plans are looking good for January! I'm excited now to see if you're going to V&A's instead of Cali Grill!!! Eric and I were talking to some friends of ours the other day, who are planning a WDW vacation for next summer, and they have been to V&A's (on their honeymoon, 8 years ago). They were telling us all about it, and we think that maybe on our 2014 trip we will bring the boys to the kids' camp one evening and go have a special romantic dinner. I mean, if we're going to splurge and have a romantic dinner just the 2 of us, why not try the best, right?!

it is very frustrating... The worst part is to see her cry and be depressed. She keeps telling me that she wishes she had something in her life to look forward to. I know that must be really tough.

Hi, thanks for checking. Life has been insane. I'm not sure if you know that we are shutting down our online music store. We gave the employees their last day a week ago. Now Fran and I are trying to get rid of the music at rock bottom prices. It's working and I have been a shipping fool! We are also making a fair amount of money, but we're busy as heck.

Plus we have to move out of the apartment that is our office. Angela calculated that we need 450 boxes for all the music!

We are on our way to the wound Dr. right now. Her sores are healing so I hope we get good news. Maybe only a few more weeks until she can have her medicine again!

Well the good news is that her wounds are healing up really good. The bad news is that he told her "that there is the possibility that the infection could come back when she takes the arthritis drug."

Translation for what Fran heard, "You will never be able to have any arthritis drugs again because you are sure to break out in venous ulcers throughout your leg."

The next thing she asked the doctor was if he could just cut her leg off.

She is seeing the rheumatologist Monday and he wants us to show him the wounds and inquire about the possibility of resuming her medication. I think that would be a better idea than scheduling surgery to remove her leg.

She always tries to tell me that I am a black and white person and she is a gray area person, but I also find that she projects onto me the issues that she has. Clearly she is being the Black and white, leg or no leg, and I am the gray area, "let's wait and see what the rhuematologist has to say."

Well it even really has nothing to do with antibiotics. Her arthritis drugs inhibit the il6 (interlaken6) which is something you need to fight wounds. She hasn't had the drugs since June, so the wound doctor told us to show him the wounds (basically do a dressing change in his office) and see what he says about when she can have her drugs. He did NOT say that her wounds would get worse FOR SURE. and he did not say SHE CAN NEVER HAVE ANY ARTHRITIS DRUGS AGAIN. He said that the Arthritis Doctor needs to make the call, and that's all he really said.

I wish she had a little more optimism, but I guess that's my job.

That sounds to me like neither good news nor bad news. Guess the wound doctor is leaving the more specialist rhuematologist make the call.

Well, nothing can be worse than the six years we went without a vacation and were taking care of her mother in nursing homes. I figure if I survived that, I can survive this.
