DS2 -(9) - still loves toy story - keen to get on big ridesl
Well, its been 6 years since our last trip to WDW and to be honest, after a lean few years, I really didn't think we would be troubling the Mouse again!! So, imagine my surprise when DH said ' I reckon this year would be a great year to go to Disney again'. WHAT?????
Before he had even finished moving his lips, I was on t'internet pricing it all up...... WDW was just a bit out of range this year, so I moved on to DLP - we haven't been there since the bit between Christmas/New Year in 2003. So, when the site said which category hotel, I thought I would be cheeky and put in DisneyLand Hotel and then faint at the cost...... although it is expensive it was about £2k less than I thought it would be, so after much soul searching and deliberation, we clicked the 'book now' button and are off in July for 5 days!! I have always wanted to stay at this hotel so it is a real dream come true!!
One of the days there is my birthday, so we are looking to make that as much fun as possilbe.
Getting to DLP
having realised that we get 4 days worth of tickets for the parks, we are going to set of a bit earlier, get the Tunnel late on a sunday night and spend the night in an IBIs or e-tap about an hour out of Calais, then arrive at DLP early in the morning to claim our tickets and hit the parks!!
ADR's
Having had lots of fun trying to secure ADR's fro friends and their WDW trips, I though tI ought to set about getting something sorted for us..............only to find out you can't book until 60 days before!! The half board thing doesn't look that worth it so we are just going to pay as we go.
Planning ADR's at Silver Spur, Walts and California Grill (on my birthday) Might try Annette's one night too.
Disney Land Hotel
My DH is going to call to make the ADR's and ask if we can be allocated a room with a decent view (using my birthday as justification no doubt) - any recommendations of room numbers???
Anyway, that's us for now.... will post more one we have more details.
