June 22 is finally showing WOC! My guess was right, it is PTN at 8:50 and WOC at 10:15. We are only at DLR for 2 days, and we are planning to do F! on Tuesday and PTN and WOC on Wednesday.

We are two adults. We have PTN dining package CC at 5:30 and WOC dessert party at 9:30.
  • We will have to book from CC to get to the dessert party.
  • We may have to set a time and leave the parade even if it is not quite over, to make it to the WOC dessert party, realizing we will still be at the end of the line and won't have a choice of a table.
  • I am assuming since there is only 2 of us we will at least still be able to sit together for WOC.
  • Heading to PP via the parade route doesn't seem like a good idea, since we will be fighting the crowds of people disbanding after the parade is over (I believe it starts at PP, where we are heading). Does it make sense to take the path around the side?
Welcome any suggestions to DL newbies!

Since it does not sound like you will be at DLR on June 22 (a Friday), you are assuming that the June 22 schedule will stay the same in subsequent weeks? I am not sure I would assume that if I were you.

We found if we eat too big a dinner then we are not hungry for the dessert party snacks. So we plan to eat especially early or very light dinner before WOC dessert party. FYI.

As long as you can get to the dessert party 45 minutes ahead with a party of two, I think you will be fine.

You are right, I assumed that June 27 would be the same schedule. When you say arrive 45 minutes ahead, are you talking about 45 minutes in advance of the start of the Dessert Party, or 45 minutes in advance of WOC (which is the start time of the Dessert Party) -- 45 minutes in advance of the start of the Dessert Party would mean we would miss PTN.

Thank you!

45 minutes before the start of WOC. If 10:15PM is WOC, then by 9:30PM would be best for the dessert party.

Perfect, thank you! Your posts in this and other threads are really helping my planning!
You are welcome. And this is only for a party of two. I think bigger parties may need to go a little earlier. I am thinking 75 minutes early for our party of 6 because I want to be sure to get a high table towards the right. Four of the six in our group have never seen WOC. And it is our final night so only one shot to see it. June 22. :)

As long as there are no dietary issues, that timing should work fine. We are usually a party of two, but allow extra time because of my food allergies. I always order a special plate and want to allow plenty of time to make sure that there are no mix ups and that there is enough time to fix any errors that might arise.

It takes about 20 minutes for PtN to reach the Carthay Circle and then the parade is about 20 minutes in length. So it will probably be finishing up right around 9:30 pm (8:50 pm start -> ~9:10 arrive at Carthay -> ~9:30 pm last float). I saw them setting up the chairs (two rows of chairs, fairly closely spaced) for the Carthay premium viewing area and they were on the Carthay side of the street to the left of the main restaurant entrance when facing Carthay (in that space along the Carthay building, but before getting to Disney Junior). If you are going to leave early, I would try to be in the back (second) row at the end so that you don't disturb the other guests as you leave. In order to get out before the parade ends and head to PP, you'll need to find a parade crossing (there is one on the end of BVS near the times board) and a break in the parade. PtN doesn't have a lot of parade crossing, so I would look into this beforehand to figure out how much of the parade you'd need to miss to make it to the WoC dessert party.

I just called Dining Reservations and was told all WoC Dining and dessert parties have been canceled. The CM I spoke with said they were informed of this on Thursday, and it could change, and to keep checking back on their website. She also checked and WoC is still scheduled to start June 23rd.

How would they even be able to accommodate all the PTN dining packages and the WOC dining packages anyway? If the show goes on it makes sense it would be withOUT dining packages
