Pteranodon Flyers question

I know that this ride is for children 56 inches and under. It's my understanding that each child is permitted to bring 1 adult with them. What if there are 2 adults and 3 children, but ONE of the children is over 56 inches?

Then one of the adults doesn't ride, the big kid doesn't ride, or you find someone who will let your big kid ride with their small kid.

I usually let my big kid ride with my small kid. Don't care to ride it, though if big kid refuses to wait in the line, I go with my small kid.

It is a fun ride, with a painfully slow load, and a very hot, no shade line. Thus, we only hit it when the park opens, and only ride once.

Yeah, they don't care about your age, just your height. At least one rider must be 56" or shorter, only 2 riders per flyer. No exceptions. If you run there right at opening the line will be at its shortest.

Doesn't seem to be. DH was approaching 400 when he first rode and there was no problem. The restraint is very forgiving, too.

My dd8 is 56" now. We are going in September, so she may grow before then, but I'm hoping she gets to ride.

Yup In the low crowds of late Jan, the waits were quite large right after opening in the morning.

Actually from personal experience there is an age limit for the taller child of 14 years old. Wanted to let our DS13 take DD7 on the ride, they both met the height requirements but he didn't meet the age requirement to accompany her safely in case the ride were to break down. Please don't flame me, every employee interprets the rules differently, I just wanted to share our experience.

The P Flyers is actually a fun little ride...I wish it were longer. In all the years I've been going to IOA, I finally rode it about three years ago when some friends visited. I haven't ridden it since.

Hm. They were perfectly happy to let my 8 & 10 year old daughters ride together a few months ago. That's the only way the 10 year old could ride - she's 60+ inches. They didn't ask her age, but there's no way you'd assume she's 14.

Wow, interesting! Is there a childswap or something you could do in this scenario then? If there were 2 adults, 3 children, but the oldest child is 11 and too tall for the ride, could they still somehow get all 5 of them on the ride by using a child swap system? I had been thinking that 1 adult would simply sit off and let the other 4 (with the 11yr old riding with the 9yr old), but maybe that won't work? Who knew that a ride could be so complicated!!

DD11 who is over 56" could not go on with DD6 last week. Guess it depends on the worker.
