I've read here that Pteranodon Flyers does not have FOTL access so it should be ridden as early in the day as possible to avoid lines. However, the attraction site has the Express Pass info on it.

Is that there as just general info or does it apply to this ride? If I hadn't read it here, I would assume it did have FOTL from looking at that! Very confusing. :headache: Just checking to make sure nothing has changed.

This is the only attraction at IOA that does not have FOTL or Express Pass access.

There is no room for an extra or bypass fotl queue and it wouldn't work anyway since this is the slowest loading ride that accomodates the fewest guests per hour at IOA. If you get there within a half hour of opening they usually let you ride even if you don't have a kid with you.

If you really want to ride this, and don't want to waste hours of your time, get there as soon as the park opens. Each car carries only 2 riders and there are only 3 (I think) with one travelling, 1 loading and 1 waiting if I remember correctly.

It was fun to experience once, but not on our list for the future. We arrived within 10 minutes of opening and still waited almost 1/2 an hour.

Yeah I agree with get there as soon as the park opens and while I love universal this is the only ride at IOA that I will never wait on agian cause we did it in memory of my father in law cause when we went in 2005 and he never got to ride it and he passed away 6 months later so this past june we decided to go on it for him and waited for like an hour for a 80 second ride.
kinda makes ya feel dumb for waiting so long for it.

We rode this ride 3 times in half an hour last Thursday because we got there right when the park opened. My 2 year old son LOVED it. I wouldn't wait very long for the ride, but if you can get there right when the park opens it is a nice little ride and worth doing at least once.

Right..it's a fun ride but the wait times are outrageous after the park has been open for an hour or so.

one of my favs:)

anyone else give out a whoop or two when flying over peeps just to see if they jump:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

When I wAs there last, I was told that an adult could not ride unless they were with a child. Is this true?

I think that's the "officially unofficial" rule. I've only ridden it once and I had a kid with me.

If you get there right when it opens, you might be able to ride w/o a kid but not when the line builds.
