Please excuse my delay in posting a trip report. Just after we returned in March, my DH and I were in an auto accident. Someone hit us from behind and totaled our Truck. We are all doing well now, my DH was not hurt, but I had a bulging disc and had to go through Physical therapy for a long time. I am back to around 90 to 95%. :thumbsup2

Any way, we had a wonderful trip in February for our 30th anniv. at POFQ. We had reserved a STD view king room non-smoking request with the dining plan. We received a corner room 3rd floor fountain view. It was a pleasant way to start our trip. First day was Feb 25, 2006. We arrived around 11:00 and it took about 20 minutes to check in, but all the CM’s were working hard to get the line through and the manager even took a few people, one of which was us.

After check in we headed over to the MK for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, I wanted to be sure we got this in before they closed for refurbishment on the 28th of Feb. We then had dinner at CP. It was great, my DH loved the buffets and of course the shrimp. They surprised us with a heart on our table made out of Mickey heads, I guess our ADR had on it that it was our 30th Anniv. Trip that week, official day was 2-28-06. The characters would come by and point to the heart and clap. The servers and CM’s were great. All in all it was a wonderful experience. Stayed for Spectromagic at 9:00 pm and then Wishes at 10:00. This was beautiful as always.

Saturday, 25th, we met two wonderful people from the UK, Marilyn and John. Marilyn is a Dis member. We had made plans to meet at the food court. We had no idea what each of us looked like, but set up a time to meet at the entrance that is located outside. I am standing there looking all around as I am not sure what directions they would come from, all of a sudden I new it had to be her and her DH, I look and smile and she does the same. We felt like we knew each other right away. It was wonderful to meet these special people. They brought us a special surprise for our anniv. and even brought presents for my two DGD.

We ate breakfast at the food court with them and chatted for a little while. After that, we went to Epcot and grabbed a fast pass for Soarin. While we were waiting for our time, we rode The Land, we just love this place.

We ate lunch at the Liberty Inn and DH enjoyed the BBQ sandwich, I had the turkey sandwich. All was very good and again a lot of food. Continued through the World Showcase and my dh got to meet his princess, Aurora.

Then on toward Test Track, we fast passed this one and proceeded to the area with Ellen, and the dinosaur. I cannot think of the name of it right now. Then back to Test Track, we love this ride. After this we walked over to MS, but we did not ride it.

We ate dinner at LeCellier and waited maybe 5 minutes to get our table. Again we were surprised during dinner with a certificate from the servers etc in the restaurant and a special desert. Food is always great here and service was wonderful. We stayed for illuminations and enjoyed it. We had seen this last Sept and we are always amazed by it.

Returned to the room to find towel love birds, which the mousekeep kept decorating daily. That ended our first full day wonderfully. I never dreamed we would get towel animals.

Nice trip report. POR is my favorite resort and mousekeeping is great with the towel animals. Grats on joining the half century club this coming Sept. Have a great birthday.

Sounds like a great beginning for your trip - so sorry about the accident after you came back :guilty: Hope you're back to 100% recovery soon!

Hope to read more!

Great pictures! And Happy Anniversary! 30 years. Wow!

I got one of those special desserts at LeCellier for my birthday. It was very yummy.

Thanks for posting!

Monday morning and a treat, we sleep in and get up late, at 7:30 am. You see we get up every week day at 4:45 am to travel an hour to work each day. We live at the foot hills of the North Georgia Mountains and travel to Atlanta to work.

We are off to MGM/Disney Studios cannot wait for the RNR coaster. We love roller coasters, always have. Wish we could visit more cities, maybe when we get to retiree (haha). We grabbed a fast pass for a second ride later. Line was only 20 minutes so we got on. Our FP was for 2 hours later. After the first ride we walk over to the Muppet show, and then when we walked out we enjoyed watching the children with the characters getting pictures. We missed our DGD at times like this but we were enjoying the adult time together.

Walked back to RNR and then over to Light Motors etc. We enjoy this show, my DS, and DH really love cars. We saw this in Sept as well and still enjoyed the show, probably a little better as it was not as hot in February. Then we walked back toward the front to get a spot for the Parade. Stars and Motor Cars. This was this first time we got to see this wonderful Parade. We always missed it last Sept as DGD and MIL would need a break due to heat. The parade is great the characters look at everyone not just the children and interact with all. Here is my DH waiting patiently for the parade. He is so good to me..

After this we had ADR for 50’s Prime Time. This is my DH’s favorite place as he loves the Salmon there; he says it is the best. We were seated in a smaller room with around 5 or 6 tables. It was announced as we arrived that “the newly weds were celebrating 30 years”. It was so nice to receive all the well wishes and amazed looks on the younger people. Dinner was wonderful and we really enjoy 50’s Prime Time.

Now to head over for Fantasmic. We didn’t have reserved seats as we could not get the package at the 50’s. We head over an hour early and already the place was almost filled to capacity. We were able to sit on the left side and had a pretty good view; it does not appear that there are any real bad seats here. But if any of you are planning on seeing this amazing show, get the package or get there 2 hours ahead. What a wonderful show, I had no idea of what it was about or how the used the water as a screen. We enjoyed ever moment of it. I highly recommend this to everyone. This is another show we missed in Sept of last year.

When we returned to the room, our mousekeeper had made presents for us again. She added a few more sticker to our Love Birds as well. She kept doing the addition of stickers to the Birds the whole time.

Will continue the trip report tomorrow. The special day February 28, 2006 30th Wedding anniversary.

Congratulations on your anniversary. party:

Great start to your report. I look forward to more.

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for sharing.

The Big Day February 28, 2006 30 years together. :thumbsup2

We woke up at 7:00 and spoke to our DGD. I have a tradition with her, I speak to her every morning during the week. She was on her way to Pre-K and Mom and Dad on way to work. I have spoken to her every morning this week and it is always a treat. Well today she wanted Granddaddy to be near the phone and then she yells "Happy Anniversary", "I Love You" :goodvibes . This is such a treat. It starts our day off. We go down to Sassagoula for a breakfast and see our good friends Marilyn and John, we eat with them and we are both off to MK that day. She had some laundry to do first so we head over just the two of us for our special day.

We enter the park and go over to the Guest relations area and ask for a Congratulations Pin. They asked what we are celebrating and we explain about our anniversary. They gave us the pin and also the one with Minnie and Mickey dressed in wedding attire. Many Many people and CM's noticed the pin and wished us congratulations. A lot of them asked what we were celebrating and were "Wowed" for lack of a better word at the years together. :cloud9:

First stop Space Mountain of course for our Roller Coaster ride. There was no line at all, straight in. We met a nice lady and her 8 year old daughter. The daughter was somewhat afraid of the ride and we talked to her, explained a little about the ride. She was excited to get on. They were in front of us and when we all got off she was jumping up and down wanting to go back. We enjoy this ride so much. Even though we know the tracks don't change, it just seems like a new ride every time. Must be something to do with the dark.

After this we go to Buzz Lightyear and to Stitch. Buzz is great and so much fun. I had never been on Stitch and was not sure what to expect from reading these boards, I figured what the heck, lets see what it is, since it may not last that long. :rotfl: It was okay for 1 time, but not something I would go to many times. I think everyone should experience this ride at least once. Then over to Frontierland.

We head to Big Thunder Mountain and who do we see, Marilyn and John in line. We meet up after the ride and decide to meet at the Harbour House for lunch. They go their way and we go our. Hopped a ride on a train, we took it to the front of the park and exited.

Back to the castle in time to see Cinderellabration. I think this show is great, of course I am living my own "Happy Ever After" life, we met at 17 and married at 19, first child at 21, second at 27. My Dh enjoyed this show as well. We had seen it last Sept but we were busy with DGD and couldn't pay alot of attention to it. Now it is time to meet out friends for lunch.

Marilyn and John, and Lynn and Lynn take on the Harbour House. We all got our CS meals with desert and head up stairs to sit. This is such a quiet place and comfortable. We had a good talk with each other and enjoyed each others company. We rested almost an hour. Now we were all ready to take on the park again. They had their agenda and we had ours.

Off to see the Tiki Birds. I like many other on here do not care for the new show. But it is ok. We then went to Pirates again since this was the last day before the refurbishment. Many people wished us congratulations while we were in line. Next Haunted Mansion, wait was a little bit as the ride had some problems, about a 10 - 15 min wait. But once on, everything was smooth. We decided that this really does need an uplift and hopefully it will be getting one soon.

Back to fantasy land. After all isn't that what we are living? Us being together for 30 years? I am told that just doesn't happen in the real world. I know many people who have been together a long time. :confused3

We walked over to It's a Small World to experience it without children of our own. It was nice we were pointing out things to each other, there are so many dolls and things to see you can usually find something you missed before. Next to Mickey's Philarmagic. What a wonderful show, in Sept my DGD loved this as we did, so we went back to see it again. We decided to do the Pooh ride, did not get to do Peter Pan as the line was really long.

We go back over to Toon Town and walk around the tent and see the sites, etc. The rest of the day we pretty much circled back around and took in the Carousel of Progress and the Transportation ride. Both of these are nice to relax in. I love the COP as it reminds me of my grandfather's time and the stories he would tell. So many good memories.

However we had an appointment at exactly 2:17 pm. We had to celebrate that time so we stopped in the park and kissed. You see my aunt had looked at her watch at our wedding and that is the exact time we were pronounced man and wife. I am so glad she did this, it is like remebering the exact time of birth for your children. So I do this for any wedding I go to I let them know the exact time when they are pronounced. :teeth:

After this we head out to stake our place to see the Dreams Come True Parade, what a great Parade. It is amazing how they can put this together. We got a great place on the curb between the castle and the main street area by the bridge over the water. Many of the characters noticed my button and pointed to us and waved. pixiedust:

Our dinner tonight, the Castle of course and Cinderella's Royal table. We have never eaten dinner her, last Sept we ate breakfast and that was our 1st time in the castle to eat. When my children were small we never could afford to eat a TS meal in WDW. We brought sandwiches etc for lunch and ate CS meals at the park for dinner. They didn't offer the dining plan. What a wonderful concept for Disney to do. We checked in and immediately were wished a Happy Anniversary. Of course anyone around wanted to know how many and we told them. Then we get to meet Cinderella. It was real nice and she took a few minutes to talk to us prior to picture and wished us "a Happy Ever After" like she and her Prince have. :goodvibes

30thanniversary06063.jpg

When we were called, of course, they announce the Royal Burke Family and off we go to eat of dinner. They gave us a table for 2 at a window and we over looked the carrosel. How perfect, setting could not be any better. Our table was decorated with streamers and Mickey confetti. Our server was wonderful and we started our meal. The meal was excellent, both had the steak. Our server brought us a present, it was a white box and inside were Champagne Flutes with Cinderella's Royal Table engraved on them. How nice, never expected them to anything at all, but what a special present. Then the Fairy Godmother comes out with the Mice and they do their skit. It was real cute and we enjoyed this as it really didn't interuppt the meal like the Princesses do for breakfast and lunch. The mice do come around the room and wave so we were able to get some good picture. FGM stayed more in the center of the room but turned around alot so everyone could see her.

At desert we were given a Magic Moment Certificate signed by Cinderella and Belle. Belle had come to visit Cindy so they got her to sign it as well. This is a special dinner and I feel it is well worth the 2 TS credits, but again we got a surprise we were only charged 1 TS for this meal. I guess it was another present from Cinderella, so now we had an extra TS meal to use.

What a wonderful day, back to the POFQ and we get a bottle of wine to celebrate. The clerk in the store at POFQ saw our buttons and noticed our purchase. He congratulated us and asked the manager a question. He came back and gave us crackers and some cheese. Just a great way and a nice present to end our day. :bride: :groom: The whole day was Pixie Dust...
