I love my Disneyland/WDW D&B but these things are UGLY. I'm not opposed to waiting in line and threatening someone's job but only for a CUTE handbag.

I for one love it....except the date on it, like others have said. In fact, I cancelled my massage on our Feb cruise so I can get another Disney Dooney. I will skip the handbag on the maiden voyages design and go for the wristlet (if there are any left), just because of that stinking date and see what else there is. And, yeah, I'd probably wait in line for a bit (maybe an hour or so) for one. I think I'd skip the whole job threatening thing though

$45 for the wristlet to $260 for the largest tote. Pretty standard Dooney prices.

i keep seeing posts about dooney this and dooney that.....couldn't figure out what they meant...

I actually think the commemorative Dooney's are neat...a way to remember one particular cruise. The date wouldn't limit me to carrying it just for 2011.

I'll be honest, I have three big Disney Dooney's and a wristlet, and I carry them all the time. I've never felt like a little girl. And I get so many "I love your bag!" comments everywhere I go. The only one I don't love is the white large Walt Disney World tote (with the castle on it). It started to get dirty immediately. So I actually like the brown.

Probably a stupid question, but what do you use a wristlet for? I can't imagine switching everything out of my daily purse (most of which have something Disney on them). Do these wristlets act like a wallet and then you can just grab that when say running to the grocery store. Sorry I don't mean to sound dense, I just never understood what I would do with it? I have been tempted to buy one, but keep trying to answer the questions "when will I use it"! I am more of a tote kinda girl. Thanks!


And I agree with some of the others. I love having a Disney purse. I am not going to wear it to a wedding or something, but it represents something about me (my obsession) and I have had so many people comment on them and start conversations. Don't know if I will by the D&B on our Dream cruise in April, but considering it. Have money saved from my birthday for it, but who knows I may choose to spend that on a massage or Palo. I don't know yet! And I feel blessed to have the choice!

Unclear how people could have waited 3-4 hours for the store to open at 6:30 when the muster drill is at 4? Or are we talking about the second day?

I use my wristlet every day all the time. Love to just have phone, drivers license, Nd debit card in it. Works great when just running in places! Hope to get one in November when I am on the dream!

I have a bit of a wristlet obsession, and a somewhat sizeable collection of them to prove it.
I admit I don't generally use them on a day to day basis though. I need a larger bag for that.
I do use them when we go to the theatre, for evenings out, and always on cruises.
I also have a couple of wristlets that match larger handbags, and I clip them around the handle to keep smaller essentials from getting lost in the cavernous depths of the big bags.

I use my wristlet as a wallet. I put my phone, ID, debit card in there. It's good to grab and take it to the gym or whenever I don't want my larger purse.

If I can get one, I'll probably buy one on the cruise if it's big enough to use as a family beach bag or a wristlet so as not to spend a fortune. Did they actually run out of these bags on the cruise? I'm wondering if concierge has helped anyone out if this is the case. I just checked ebay and one is going for $600!

You must be talking NYC? I live in Upstate (along Lake Ontario) and everyone loves my bag.

The bag going for $600 is HUGE--we're talking duffle bag huge, definately not purse huge.

The D&B purses, wristlets, etc on the ships and in the parks are coated cotton with leather trim, which explains the lower pricing.

If someone opts to wait in line for a couple of hours, that is their choice, and they don't consider it a waste of time. THe thing with these bags are that they will most likely have them for the entire inaugural year, as the print says inaugural voyages, not voyage. DCL put the D&B cruise line bags out on the first night of the weekend Wonder cruise, there were plenty to begin with and plenty when the store closed.

Of all of them, I like the 55 year Disneyland bag the best, But I can't convince myself to buy any of them as they are not 100% leather. I do carry a D&B bag, it is very heavy leather and is giraffe print. I love it and even after carrying it over a year, it looks almost new.

To the PP who said the white purse turned yellow, send it back to D&B, they will replace it.

What Could you define "trendy". What does that mean?
