I just went to the ODPT site and they have redone the site. It looks a lot better.

They are also selling some theme park pins on the auction site with links to them from the odpt site. Some of the theme park pins are on-line exclusives and others are available in the park. There is a series of Disneyland pins that are on-line exclusives.

yeah... I don't know quite how to
accept this news...

park pins were always specific
to going to the parks and promoted
trading because you couldn't get
them anywhere else... unless you
traded (hypothetically).

now those near parks will not be
able to trade as easily because the
if they soon put most park pins online
nobody in the non-park areas will
need them as much...

atleast they are starting with some
older pins... that gives new collectors
a chance to catch up... and the one
other good thing is that they are selling
them at the same price you pay in the
parks... rather than clearancing them
out and putting them on disneydeals
at less than half the original price.

In a way this is a good idea to clear out
their warehouses, but it certainly does
not promote trading.

I wonder why pins specific to parks are now for sale on the Net. Gosh, I worry about the future of pin trading. Also, on the sarcastic side, doesn't Disney make enough money on pins at the parks? Seems some are $0.50 more expensive than in the parks PLUS the cost of shipping.
