I just booked the hotel today, so it looks like my dates are 8/29 through 9/1.

We are WDW vets going to DL for the first time! SO EXCITED to see the original dream that Walt Built! DH and I were married at WDW almost 11 years ago.

We will be at the Disneyland Hotel from August 9-17th. I'm really starting to get SUPER excited now!

It will be me, dh, our twin 9 year old DD's and DH's parents.

Does anyone know where we could rent an ECV for the duration of our trip for FIL? He's 86, a spry 86 but he will definitely need help getting around the parks!

First Disneyland tripper chiming in! DS and I will be there August 4-10. We have made 7 trips to WDW but this is our first CA. trip together.

I have been to L.A. and San Francisco and made a quick trip to Disneyland with dad's convention at age 10. This is my son's first trip to California and Disneyland! We are going to hit Legoland and Knott's and do Universal and tour the L.A. area. We are staying at the Hotel Menage (got a package deal on Expedia for CHEAP!!).

This was a spur of the moment booking and we are so excited. I found a deal, am a teacher and off for the summer, and ran with it. Can't wait!

My DF and I will be getting married here in NY on August 8th and honeymooning in Disney from August 9th-17th!!!!! I'm so excited!!! OUr must sees are basically everything...ha ha ha. DF has never been to Disney so we are really going to try and experience as much as we can. We know it will be hot, but we are troopers.

We will be there Aug 25,26, 27 ...... and I am just a little bit pissed that hours are cut back, no Fantasmic, and no Electric Parade. Alladin only on the third day. I am afraid of Summer crowds without all the benefits!

When I looked at last year's calendar, everything was normal summer hours, even though it's midweek.

I'll be there with my sister 8/29- 9/1 Labor day weekend! for my first Disneyland 1/2 marathon!!! Without the kids!!! During the rest of the time we hope to do all the rides that aren't at WDW. Indy, monsters, Nemo, Matterhorn, Pinocchio, Toy story mania.... too many to list! I hope to do everything and do it all more than once! I'm sure it will be impossible but I'm going to run myself ragged trying!

OK, so y'all (see I'm an English girl talking American!! OK, I'm trying to get into the mood!!) how is the planning coming along? Do you have your PS made, any tours booked, baskets planned to be delivered to your room? I love to plan (I have been planning this trip for 2 years, crossing the 'pond' at peak UK holiday time is not cheap!!) I have my PS made, 11th Aug: seating for the electrical parade, 12th Aug: VIP tour and dinner at Storytellers followed by Fantasmic VIP seating, 13th Aug: segway tour and dinner at Vineyard Room, 14th Aug: lunch at Blue Bayou, 15th Aug: Napa Rose chefs table, 16th Aug: Plaza Inn breakfast then we have to leave Disneyland, however I am meeting some Dis board buddies at the port before they sail on the Magic!

So how are all your plans coming on?

We have our one PS made. BB on the 13th for lunch. We plan on using my mom's Rainforest Cafe club card for priority seating there. My grandparents want to kidnap me from my friends to have a 16th birthday dinner, but I have no idea where.

There's not much else to plan. I do have to go get some lime green mickey heads. My friends will think I'm crazy and dorky, but I'll still do it. Anyone else going to wear the LGMH's?

All this family thinks about or talks about is Disney…what we want to see…do…eat…ride!

PS are made…The 10th we arrive…dinner at the ESPN Zone…11th Goofy’s Kitchen and Wine Country Trattoria…12th Blue Bayou, Catal, and Carnation Plaza…13th Goofy’s Kitchen dinner,
(Café Orleans or Redd Rockett or??? this part is still unplanned)
14th Chip and Dales Critter Breakfast, Steakhouse 55… 15th room service and who know…we will be getting back on the road to head home…we are planning on using room service for some early mornings.
VIP for Fantasmic on the 13th. Birthday cake ordered…no tours…plenty of down time by the pool.

Oh yes! my ddil and I (or me) will have our lime green mickeys…I make
streamers to hang from our backpacks…mickey heads, lime green ribbons,
silver and lime green beads…I’ll post a picture when I am finished…plus
