Jumping up and down, waving hands, shouting, "ME, ME, ME"

I'm so excited, I can't wait. My family will be leaving on Aug. 22 (Don't know if we're flying or driving yet) and will be coming back on the 31st (if flying) and on the 2nd if driving. My in-laws will also be joining us down there.

We haven't decided if it is going to be GCH or DLH. I am going to make PS for Goofy's kitchen (for dinner).
Pretty sure my DH and in-laws would like BB as well.

We will be there August 6-15 and staying in a premium room at CCI. Most days we will be in the parks but a couple of side trips to Wild Animal Park and some beach action will be in order as well. As far as beating the heat, just getting out of Dallas in August will be good enough.

Would love to meet a DISer or 2 whilst we're there!

Oh how I wish I was going at the same time you are. Because I would love some pointers on how to take beautiful pictures like you. I too have a D80, we bought it last yr (July) on our way out of town for our trip. Needless to say we didn't know much about how to work it and most of the pictures didn't turn out so well. Now a year has past and my DH is comfortable with it, but I am still learning lots.

I have seen some of your pictures inside some dark rides do you just snap a shot in there (if so how do you keep it for getting blurry).

Ooh we will be there the same time as you. Your photos inspired me to get in to photography more and upgrade to a DSLR so i hope to practice with it a lot at DL! Maybe you will spot me attempting to take some great night time shots!

Thanks E-orLover! In the dark rides, I use a very high ISO setting and typically try to use a really fast lens such as my 50mm f/1.8 to maximize the amount of light reaching the sensor. The only other thing is to just concentrate on being as stable as possible.

We'll be there 8/10-12 (3 days/2 nights) after our DCL cruise! We are first timers & although I've learned sooo much off these boards, I need to print hydroguy's tips for DL to take w/me! I'm in the middle of UG right now and hope to have it done soon as we are getting down to the wire. We haven't planned any restaurants to eat at though, thinking that for the few days we'll just do cheap outside park restaurants by Hojo, except for maybe some counter service inside. Since we're doing the cruise first (where we will see lots of characters and have character brunch) and have been to wdw before (breakfast in Cinderalla's castle), we are thinking we don't need to waste valuable park time with long protracted meals.

Can't wait! Looks like lots of people going on our days so far, so I expect it to be busy.

We'll be there from August 21-25th! I can't wait. It will be my girls 5th trip to Disneyland. As for can't miss rides, I'll have to say all the ones in Fantasyland and TSMM. Between having two little ones and being pregnant myself, we'll probably miss the bigger rides. Although my oldest is slowly working up the nerve to try BTMRR with her dad, since it will be the first time she is big enough for it. We'll be cooling off by taking midday breaks to nap and swim.

I will be there as well, from August 24th to the 29th of same said month.
I am hoping to see the Electric light parade, the last time I saw it, I was a child, and it was at DL. I missed it last year, for I just did not feel like doing all of that walking, from DL to DCA, then back, and even then it is not so much the walking as it is the waiting in lines so as to go in or go back.
I will be making a p.s. for the Blue Bayou, and possibly for other restaurants as well, I just have not decided as of yet, for which ones.
I am very much hoping that it will not be hot, at the end of August, I normally prefer to go during the early or earlier time of the year.
