We are considering going down for New Year's Eve this year, and I have a question about priority seating for NYE. If we have a ps for a restaurant in a park (like Liberty Tree Tavern in MK) but do not want to go into that park until almost dinner time, will we still be able to go in? I am aware that if the parks get full on New Year's Eve that even resort guests can be turned away and sent to another park. But what if I have a priority seating???

Nope...if the park is full then it is full...You will not be allowed to enter....plus I do believe some restaurants charge a fee to make a ressie and if you don't show up you get charged....When you make your ressie they will tell you to make sure you show up early in the day for your ressie....

To be on the safe side, I'd make a PS at a resort. We had New Year's Eve dinner at 'Ohana's and it was fun.

As others have said a park PS does not guarantee you entry and in the MK in particular I definitely would not count on it. I would suggest entering the parks early and staying or eat at one of the resort restaurants.
I would recommend makingyour PS as far in advance as possible as PS for NYE go very quickly. They will ask for credit card and if you do not show up when then charge you, usually $10 per person.

We were there last New Year's Eve and made PS at Teppanyaki in Epcot for 7:30. We started the day at MGM and headed over to Epcot via boat at 5pm and had no problem getting into the park. It was packed! got there in time to get the hats and noisemakers they hand out and did some shopping. Had to wait almost an hour wven with PS because it was so busy. We are returning this year also and may try different park. I would guess that MK was full early in the day. Not sure, all I know is that it was the most crowded park of the day. PS Jan 1 and on is very manageable!

I was there NYE 2002/2003 with reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table at 8p. I did make the priority seating. We we got to MK about 5p that evening it was closed becasue the park was full. The security guard must have felt sorry for us or something because he escorted us to the T&C center and we were on the monorail and on our way. It was a get meal and I am sure the evening would have been awesome, but the storms put an end to that for us real quick. We left after dinner and spent the rest of the evening hanging out at AKL where we were staying. Anyway, go for the NYE visit and have a great time. I just make reservations at a great rate of $139 @ the Dolphin with the government employee rate. If you are considering this time I would recomend you make your hotel arrangement now. Have Fun!:bounce: :bounce:
